I wanted to wait until I was home to review it proper, but I bought this for a four hour flight and it worked beautifully! It survived tsa, both of my flights, and a few hikes, all on one pair of batteries (INSANE). It can take a beating too - I would run with it in my hand and it didn't impact the quality either. Only things I'd warn about are - sometimes the cd whirring is audible, and supply your own ear buds! The provided ones are awfully large for my ear and actually made them ache ... show more

    • Great but requires ground loop isolator when on AC power.

The product works great as expected but when it's connected via AC adapter and also connected to my PC via 3.5mm from the headphone port to my PC's mic port I get a horrible buzzing sound that makes the device unusable. A solution was using a ground loop isolator and that completely fixed the issue and it's perfectly silent when I need it to be. I did have issues with the first one that I received but contacted Deluxe Products and a replacement was sent to me immediately. I needed a new CD player for my vehicle because the old one I had needed some time to warm up before it will play and the "stop" button did not work. I like the volume control the was easily adjustable. The USB plug in was a big plus - I can plug in both power and sound output into my F/M transmitter and only need one car power jack (instead of two jacks, power converter, and an outlet converter to operate my last CD player). I was unclear whether it was rechargeable when I purchased - as it turns out you can use USB connection to play, but it will revert back to batteries if not plugged in. It’s an $18 cd player and you get exactly what you pay for. It’s very cheaply made - feels like it might just snap in half. All the buttons are black with black marking making it really tough to tell which button does what. I use it as an external component connected to my stereo system so I can’t speak to its anti-skip function. It’s also pretty noisy (not the music but the mechanics functioning), but maybe CD players were always like that?? I can’t remember. Having said all that - it works just fine. I still have all my CDs, some of which are not available on streaming platforms so I wanted something to play those. I probably use it once or twice a week and for that this item works fine. Had an initial functioning issue with this CD. Kept getting 'ER' msg. Emailed Service Deluxe Products. The next day! I rec'd response with suggestions to try and offer to replace the CD if not satisfied. A defective product.. My response sent a new replacement to me~ no questions asked. "Thanks for letting us get it right!" WOW! Had an issue (my fault) with the second player. Another email. Their response came again the very next day. Service Deluxe Products" (Phil) shocked & offered suggestion (ck. batteries).. .all fixed. Works great.
