  • Fits like a charm
I just got this yesterday and installed it today. - Initial Impressions - It seems very well made. Putting it together was no trouble. I have a pilot and it's practically a perfect fit - very little space on the sides, definitely not big enough for my boxer. The visibility as a driver seems great - you can barely notice it there. I haven't actually tried my dog in there yet. He's been used to riding in the middle so this might be an adjustment. - Notes - I looked at A LOT of options before picking this one. It was one of the most expensive but with what you get for fit and quality, I think it's worth it. I don't plan to keep this up unless I'm using it. It seems like it won't be too much of a hassle to put in and take out. If there was anything I'd suggest to the manufacturer, it would be making the system easier to fold down. You're supposed to tighten the screws to lock it in place but I think I'm going to try not doing that so I can fold it easier without tools. It would be awesome if it had locking hinges or something along those lines so you could easily store it. An even better idea - it would be amazing if you could fold the top half down when you don't need it. Then you could leave it in place and still pass things from the front to the back. ... show more

  • Easy to install and remove
I needed a cargo barrier to keep my airedales from wanting to move forward in my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I hope to also keep most of the dog hair from flying forward by installing a barrier with mesh instead of piping. Because the material fits so tightly, it takes a bit of understanding and working to stretch the material to install the metal framing, but this is so worth the 15 minute effort. The barrier installs with straps to the headrests and the cargo tie downs. It also appears to be easily installed behind the rear seats OR the front seats, in case I want the dogs to have twice the room. On the back seats there is very little gap between the upper corners to the vehicle, and no gap to the sides and the ceiling (using the 50 inch model). After the first install, which took about 5 minutes, installation and removal from my Jeep takes less than 2 minutes. This also keeps my dogs from drooling over or licking the tops of my leather seats. Price seems reasonable for the quality, design, and function, of this barrier. ... show more

  • A great barrier, but be careful with measurements, fit, and seat adjustments
Really like this barrier. We can still see clearly through rear window and it's very effective in keeping our two dogs confined to the rear. But be sure to measure your interior width and height carefully, and adjust for the rear seat headrests (if you have them) and how high the armrests sit on rear doors. In addition, the straps the fasten to the front headrest posts have no "give or stretch," therefore if the two front seats are in vastly different positions (large husband and small wife), the barrier may struggle to stay in proper position. I have this problem myself. When wife drives she moves the seat WAY up, which puts a lot of stress on the straps and moves the barrier into an odd position until i put seat back to my setting. I added 6' length of 2" gray foam pipe wrap (Home Depot) to warp around and cushion the top and sides of the frame to provide additional protection of the interior roof. ... show more

  • Perfect solution for dogs that want to sit in the front seat
Well built product and easy to install - despite really poor instructions. Perfect solution for the problem I had with my golden retv'r dogs. I have one that insists on wanting to sit in the front seat. I was planning a move that included a 5 1/2 hr drive with 3 dogs. Did not want to have any issues with the dogs during the commute and this provided me with the perfect solution so that I did not have to worry about a possible accident, or anything else. ... show more

  • Perfect!
After a friend was killed in a car accident, I began looking for ways to secure our dogs in the car. Her dog had ridden on the seat next to her for 15 years. He fell off and pinned her foot down on the accelerator. She struck a parked semi trailer at a high rate of speed. I bought halters but the dogs got tangled. Carriers took up all the room and left no space for our luggage. I tried a couple of smaller barriers but they jumped over them. Wire ones looked like they belonged in a police car. This one fits perfectly, blocks them from the front seat and is always in place without being intrusive. It went together in moments and the only issue I had was my own mistake of making the strap too complicated and clumsy. Just thread it from the bottom straight through and the teeth will hold it where you want it. Because the back seat is almost always down I just tucked it behind the seat and secured it to the headrests. It’s not going anywhere and neither are the dogs. ... show more

  • Very nice...looks great...but a couple of things
Fits great in my 2019 Ranger, but bottom straps don't work per instructions. Had to find a spot under the seat to run straps. Assembly was easy, but had to rotate couplers so that screws pointed up or down and not at my dogs. Wish screws were on the driver's side. Easy to see through while driving, but will it hold my dog in an emergency stop or accident. Hope I never find out. This is cheesey, would be nice to have a little Velcro door in the middle to pass treats through. Lastly, please make one for a Chevy Trax size SUV...overall very happy with the unit. ... show more

  • Fits perfectly in 2017 Mazda CX-5
This barrier fits very well in a Mazda CX-5. I didn't even attach the lower straps around the seat frame and still there is zero noise/rattling from it. Putting it together wasn't bad with two people. Per a suggestion from another reviewer, I attached the center poles first, then the bottom, and finally the top. We had to pull it apart from separate ends to be able to connect—and YES, you need to undo all of the velcro to get it together. Doing that alone would have been a huge pain, so find a friend to help you. Installation in the car was simple (again with two people). Straps cinch around the headrest posts very easily. My dog seems to love the security of it, too. You can see through the mesh very well and it keeps the pup safer and more secure. ... show more

  • The best!
We have had other car dividers for our dogs. These are the best! Allows AC to travel thru, doesn’t mess up car headliner or upholstery and dogs don’t come through. Ease of assembly and great instructions. Highly recommend over any other such devices. This one is perfect!
