I was a little hesitant to buy this faucet because a lot of the reviews said sometimes touch didn’t work or faucet didn’t work at all or sometimes turns on by it self. We installed the unit in about 30min. It worked right away. But after an hour or so touch started getting spotty. Sometimes it turned on by it self and sometimes it didn’t work at all. Exactly like the reviews said. However the fix is really easy. Step 1 Make absolutely sure that the grounding wire is attached firmly at the bottom faucet shank. The wire should not be touching anything at all. I first installed it having it up by the bolt because I though that would create the ground better. But that’s not correct. So make sure it’s at the bottom tightly. See attached picture. Step 2 The battery pack seems extremely cheap. I will probably get the power adapter instead. But never the less do not mount it on the wall or have it stand upright. It has to lay flat. I assume it’s because it’s so cheap it’s the only way they can assure that there is power at all times. See picture of how it should be under your sink If you do these steps correctly everything should work perfectly. I absolutely love the faucet. Beautiful design. And the best thing is when your handling food like fish or chicken you don’t have to touch the handle when you wash. You just tab it with your arm. ... show more

Very happy with this faucet. The magnet works tremendously well to keep the spray head in when you turn the water off, and I have no complaints about the faucet at all. Be sure to measure, the faucet is quite tall and comes out very far- it would not work for a small sink. I love the fact that it turns 360 degrees, great for filling up pots. And the pull down sprayer reaches down far enough to clean every inch of my sink. ... show more

I can't tell you how much I hate this faucet. After one week it decided not to work AT ALL. The touchless feature is absolutely USELESS. It has a mind of it's own. I have actually spent upwards of 3 minutes multiple times a day trying to get the light to come on so the water will flow. When you write to Delta they give you a list as long as your arm about special sensitivities all the wires underneath the sink must be subjected to. The wires can't touch they can't even be close to one another. I specifically bought the AD adapter so I would never have to go thru battery replacement. The Delta people told me TO STILL PUT BATTERIES IN the pack even though I have the AC plug as a back up...and it must be resting on the ground. BATTERIES ON THE GROUND OF a sink cabinet? Why would I ever do that? All the potential spill of chemicals and cleaners...no way. Plus...from what they say these wires under the sink are like delicate little flowers....one bit of movement and everything stops working. How many times a month do you go under your sink and move stuff around as you're looking for a specific item? Way too many times for me to have to worry about these wires crossing FOR THE LIFE OF THE FAUCET???????? No thanks. I am returning it. This faucet should never been offered to the consumer without correcting all these issues. ... show more

It's hard to find a good brand kitchen faucet with a handle that doesn't move backwards. The handle for this Delta Essa Faucet stops exactly as shown in the photo, parallel to the faucet. To turn it on/off, you move the handle out/in and to adjust for heat, move forward. Because we have a bar-type countertop/backsplash directly behind the kitchen sink, there is less than two inches of clearance from the counter wall to the faucet. Most faucets I looked at in retail stores did not have this particular feature so I was quite happy when I found the Essa. The package contains a faucet with attached supply lines, optional escutcheon, and a few other necessary parts. It also includes a tightening tool if the sprayer tube gets loose. I hired a local plumber to install the faucet and he said Delta is a good brand because any faulty parts can be replaced within two weeks since they have manufacturing facilities in the US (as opposed to a brand like Grohe and Hansgrohe, which have parts that may take up to two months to replace due to foreign-based facilities). I believe it took him around a half hour to install the faucet. I've only been using this faucet for about a week now and so far, it's working well. The handle doesn't leak and moves smoothly, the sprayer works well with its flexible tube (as opposed to the rigid ones) and reaches areas easily, and the faucet swivels left and right very nicely. The flow of water is just right whether or not the sprayer is used. For anyone in California, this faucet meets the requirements of the Water Conservation Certificate. ... show more
