These controllers work fine. They charge. They play. Haptics are waaaay different than original controllers. They buzz with every action and you can’t really differentiate between buzz strength levels. Ex. In ACNH, I cant tell if I’m catching a squid or a great white shark. It buzzes the same. Also, these do not have the IR scanner necessary to scan in Amiibo characters or cards. Finally, because of their ergonomic shape, they don’t fit into the standard single player controller frame from Nintendo. Good things to consider when making this purchase. ... show more

We wanted 2 extra controllers for our new switch. We found these online and they worked with our machine right away. also nice we can plug these controllers into wall since they are the extra controllers for 4 person games. They worked as expected in the game.

It seems they took my advice and added a middle piece to hold the two controller sides together, since they are not compatible with the one that comes with the switch. I inquired and let them know that there was a connectivity issue as well and they sent the new one with the center piece for a penny! So awesome of them to do. Great customer service!!     • Good, cheap replacement of joy cons for Switch, provided you don't play on the TV
They work well. The buttons are not as quiet as the name brand Nintendo Joy cons. I don't find the grip that different. Batteries last longer the the Switch unit; so I can't ask more then that. The only miner complainants I have are that when they are charging with the doc, they blink a green light (I have the yellow product) which wouldn't be an issue unless you are charging at night. Also, the vibration doesn't really sync with the two games I was playing (Animal Crossing/Star-dew Valley). I ended up just turning the vibration setting to off so it wasn't so random. Other then those two things; I think this would be a good replacement product for casual gaming or if your kids break the joy cons. Edit: One month later: I now notice that when the controller is docked with the switch the reaction time on the buttons was just fine. When I docked the Switch so that the screen will play on the TV ,and undocked the controllers to play about four feet away, the button reaction were definitely slower (about 2-3 seconds). Resulting in some frustration until I realized it was the controller (I tried it again with my old Nintendo Joy Cons and while the drift is still bad (reason I replaced them) the buttons were not slow). So, if you are replacing the joy cons for a switch unit that you never connect to a TV, just as a handheld unit, I would still recommend this product. If you play it mainly on a TV screen, you might try another product. ... show more

I bought these on a "I kind of needed more controllers to play multiplayer games" kinda basis. At first I thought these were weird and possibly they're just junk. They're not. These are very comfortable in the hand especially when attached to the switch itself. You can even charge these things via a micro-usb cable, which is neat. The only thing I was a bit annoyed was it wouldn't fit on my OE switch controller adapter, but with some DIY on the OE piece, I was able to mount the controllers and works great!     • Doesnt last
The controllers look just like the pictures and are comfortable to hold but they stopped working after almost 2 months. A month and a half after buying, they stopped connecting when I had then attached to my switch so I had to use them unattached but now they dont even work using them that way either. I charge them while attached to my Switch and left it for a couple hours and it still wouldn't work and then I charged them using the cables that came with the controller and left them for another couple hours and they still wont work ... show more
