Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The DEERC D10 Drone receives high marks from users for its price-to-performance ratio, its ease of use for beginners, and its durability. This drone comes with a nice case for transport and storage and boasts features found on more expensive drone models, albeit, without the same level of fine-tuning or capabilities. Some users note that documentation for the drone and the required app could be improved. And while the drone comes with a camera, don't expect crystal-clear quality footage.

Pros

  • 🚁 High value for the price
  • 💼 Comes with a sturdy storage and transport case
  • 📚 Suitable for beginners
  • 💪 Durable and good for children
  • 🛠 Extra parts included for post-crash repairs

Cons

  • 📑 Lack of detailed documentation and support for the app
  • 🎥 Grainy video quality
  • 🍃 Lightweight design can make it hard to control in breeze
  • 📲 The remote is incompatible with tablets

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for an inexpensive, beginner-friendly drone that holds up well to daily use (and crashes), the DEERC D10 Drone would be a good choice. Take note of the limited documentation and support for the accompanying app, but given the value for money, this drone comes recommended, especially for beginners or children.

  • Deerc D10 is inexpensive, fast to setup and fun to fly
The media could not be loaded. I recently bought the Deerc D10 drone and am pleasantly surprised. This is a low-entry drone meant for beginners and those wanting a drone that can be toted easily from place to place. It's good for indoor use with the included propeller guards (just keep tiny children and pets away when you do fly indoors) and outdoors too. This review is flying it outdoors. Even at its 7oz weight it flew well. I've included a picture and video showing you how good the camera is on a DARK, DANK, WINDY day. Other reviews show you nice bright pictures - I'm showing how nice this is with an overcast day. For this price point it's pleasantly surprised me. In my video the drone is fighting a 6mi/hr wind and was under control. Just got blown around a bit. If I were looking for an outdoor drone with long range and good wind compensation, this isn't it. For all nice days, slight wind days and indoors, the D10 is terrific. It comes out of the box in its own hard shell case, fully assembled. I plugged in a charger cable into one of the two batteries included and to my own USB wall brick (not included) and it charged in 90 minutes. Plugged the battery into the drone, put 3 AA batteries (not included) into the controller and I was ready. I flew my D10 without the phone software, just using the controller. It was line-of-sight all the way. Then I tried the phone software to see through the camera and get extra features. I found that as claimed I had several hundred feet of flying distance. It comes with 4 replacement props and instructions how to replace a broken prop. The manual is clear and explains how to use all the features. Aside from simple flight, it can do flips forward, backward, left and right. It does maintain it altitude but you have to keep its position under control. If it drifts without touching the controls there's a quick step you take compensating for whatever is causing the drift. The camera shoots in 1080x720, both pictures and video. The picture and video included in this review are from the camera, recorded to my phone. I found taking picture and video simple. Press a button and listen for beeps. Later I found the pictures/videos in a folder on the phone. To start using the drone, I turned it on with a button press, turn on the controller, did a quick pairing step to my phone and pressed the launch button. The drone's props spin and the drone lift waist high and hovers. Each of the four arms has an LED light on it and while flying I saw when the battery started to run down as the lights started flashing. There are features in the phone app like hand gesture commands and voice commands too. It's fun and interesting but the real fun is just unpack, take off and fly. I do think this is for a child at least 14 as recommended. I'm 61 and think it's a blast. ... show more

  • Affordable and Easy to fly!
The media could not be loaded. This is my first drone that is not a small and obvious toy and it's also my first camera drone. My kids all have drones and I personally wanted something a little bigger that I could fly outdoors, but I don't have the experience yet for a more expensive drone, so this one seemed to be a nice step up from the small ones. One of the things that I like about this drone right out of the box is that it comes with a case to protect and store it. This is really nice feature to have, especially at this price. The second thing I noticed is that you have two batteries and two charging cables. That's also nice because it allows you to charge both at the same time. One thing about the charging cables that I did find confusing is that the instructions mention charging until the light comes on - well it's not obvious that there's a light in the charger. It's black and when you plug it in no light comes on. The light does come on when the battery is fully charged, but before that there's nothing to indicate that you are actually charging. Battery time was about 15 minutes on each battery which, when you have two fully charged batteries, is enough to really play with this without having your time cut too short by a dead battery. The initial setup is very straightforward and easy to follow. I was able to connect the drone to my phone with the app and see the video on my phone screen while flying - however, during the day it's not easy to see my phone, and I also found it distracting to look at the phone while trying to fly the drone with the remote. It's also possible to fly the drone solely with the app, but I only played with this feature once before writing this review. I'm more comfortable using the remote right now while I get more familiar with it. I did have trouble recording the video as well - using the record button on the remote didn't actually save the video the first time I tried it. Later I pushed record on the app and that did save, but the video was cut short for some reason. This is a feature I need to explore more. I see other reviewers have good videos, so I'm going to say that I need to spend more time learning this feature. The drone is very lightweight and subject to the wind - I wouldn't try to fly if there is much wind. Our first time out it did blow off course once and we had to go after it, but it survived just fine. However, my oldest son and I did have a lot of fun learning to fly it together. We went to an open field the first time so that we wouldn't have to worry about trees or anything else while we got a feel for it. I would recommend this Drone for older kids and adults wanting to learn more about drones without having to make a big investment. I would also recommend this seller because this is not the first product I have purchased from them and they are easy to contact and quick to respond if you have questions or issues. ... show more
