Description

In DEATHLOOP, two rival assassins are trapped in a mysterious timeloop on the island of Blackreef, doomed to repeat the same day for eternity. As Colt, the only chance for escape is to end the cycle by assassinating eight key targets before the day resets. Learn from each cycle - try new paths, gather intel, and find new weapons and abilities. Do whatever it takes to break the loop. IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED DIE, DIE AGAIN: Every new loop is an opportunity to change things up. Use the knowledge you gain from each attempt to change up your playstyle, stealthily sneaking through levels or barreling into the fight, guns-blazing. In each loop you’ll discover new secrets, gather intel on your targets as well as the island of Blackreef, and expand your arsenal. Armed with a host of otherworldly abilities and savage weaponry, you’ll utilize every tool at your command to execute takedowns that are as striking as they are devastating. SINGLE PLAYER GAMEPLAY INJECTED WITH DEADLY MULTIPLAYER: Are you the hero or the villain? You’ll experience DEATHLOOP’s main story as Colt, hunting down targets across the island of Blackreef to break the loop and earn your freedom. All the while, you’ll be hunted by your rival Julianna, who can be controlled by another player. So if you’re feeling devious, you, too, can step into Julianna’s stylish sneakers and invade another player’s campaign to kill Colt. The multiplayer experience is completely optional, and players can choose to have Julianna controlled by AI within their campaign. THE ISLAND OF BLACKREEF – PARADISE OR PRISON: Arkane is renowned for magnificently artistic worlds with multiple pathways and emergent gameplay. DEATHLOOP will present a stunning, retro-future, 60s-inspired environment, that feels like a character within itself. While Blackreef may be a stylish wonderland, for Colt it is his prison, a world ruled by decadence where death has no meaning, and delinquents party forever while keeping him captive.

  • About time, Arkane
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
All Arkane games have something in common; wonderfully weird story lines and fun gameplay. This one is no exception, and although they shamelessly stole ideas from their previous games, it works quite well. You'll see powers lifted straight from Dishonored, although the story seems unconnected to me (others have a theory that this is the world after Death of the Outsider. I'm not sure I buy into that). The story is easy enough on the surface: you're one of many people stuck on an island that's trapped in a timeloop, endlessly reliving the same day over and over - but only you and one other person (who's trying to kill you) retains their memories from day to day. But the reasons why this is happening and how to break it are anything but easy. Oh - one last point. Like all other Arkane games, the ending is terrible. Do not expect a ton of end game drama or have the story wrapped up and handed to you with a bow - Arkane has never done that and they didn't start on this one. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Fun game

Honestly thought this games was gonna be trash. But the games offer awesome powers and lets you play any way you want , you can be sneaky or crazy , it doesn’t matter cause the game is fun either way

  • Good Game but Easy AI :)
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
The game is fun and very polished. Arkane did a great job with level design, graphics and story. But the enemy AI needs to be addressed. But overall good game. well worth the money :)

  • Great game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
8.5/10 game. Start very slow and overly covulted with what feels like an infinite amount of tutorials, put once the game lets you loose, the gameplay becomes a blast. Unfortunately, though, the game gets way too easy too soon and the way you progress the story is basically through "reading" a bunch of stuff that opens new story paths (if you miss one of those stupid papers, you have to go back and meticulously search that particular room in that particular time of the day to progress). Multiplayer is awesome, because it keeps you on your toes when invaded and turns you into full aggression mode when invading (it gives the story mode a great and much needed change of pace). Overall I don't mind paying full price for this (as of right now) PS5 exclusive (a must have for a PS5 owner in my opinion). ... show more

  • Not up to fun
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
This was a gift but I found after the fact that they already had it, as for the game, I did watch videos on it, although the concept is good, the actual game misses, a great game not thought out as much as it should of been
