I was very afraid to try this, when the handle snapped off, but I knew that the dealer would charge hundreds of dollars to install a replacement handle on a 2011 HHR. So I decided to try it myself. It is extremely helpful if you watch a few Youtube videos; there was one in particular that shows the installation of the spring pin very well. That's the only tricky part of the installation. After a few weeks, the new handle is still working very well, and I only paid $16 instead of hundreds to fix it. I'm a tiny great granny sized person with arthritis in my hands, so if I could do it, you can too. ... show more

Used YouTube videos to guide my installation, THIS product is plastic, and there are metal versions available. I might have gone metal, but I didn't see them till after I bought this. Still, it works fine, and is a good value.

works just not perfect, seamed like back of handle was larger that old one causing it to be notchy when open and closing.
