For this prince I am very disappointed it doesn't have video calling as advertised. It doesn't have video calling or contacts icon. When you click phone you have to enter the actual number. The names only show up in the call history. But I am very upset that they advertise the D35 with video calling. It has video CHAT which is not the same. Also most of the reviews on this are not for D35 but for model 17. Very misleading. I don't know if Otherwise I was very excited because the quality of the screen and photos was good. My 7y.o. daughter absolutely loves it. I decided it's time for her to have possibility to call me or text me when needed. Also I can track the location of my kid, which is nice. By pressing the button on the right long, she can do an emergency call, without showing anybody she is doing it, which is really nice option, to my mind. Sometimes I use silent call just to understand what's going on around her, without disturbing her by calling. Despite the phone, tablet, I like she cannot use it just for playing, as there's only one game on the watch - Math :) The call, video call, text functions work properly. Still don't know the behavior after being put into water, we try not to do it. I like I am now able to better understand what's happening to my daughter when she's in school or summer camp or at friends house. Despite the phone, the watch is always with her, and she can quickly call me, daddy whenever she wants to. ... show more

This watch fits our 11 year old well. Color blue is a worn blue jeans kind of blue. When we call, he cannot always pick up the call, the watch just would not pick up. He calls back, that worked every time so far. The GPS is accurate most of the time, though, it takes a while to load sometimes. Sometimes, it does show a previous location first, then, you need to update it again, and then it shows the correct place. Sometimes it says the watch is turned off or no network is not available... even though, the watch is right in front of the house with our son.... The SOS button does not function very well. Our son says it is quicker to just call from the contact list, as the button does not always does the call. It is a hit and miss. Once, water surrounded the watch for a few seconds (on the steps in a pool) and it did survive. The charger is annoying. It is the magnetic charger. The spots where you charge the watch are touching the skin as it is on the back of the watch itself. When sweaty, you need to clean the spots first for properly connecting. Really bad design. We got it connected through At&T, got its own phone number. Can text (by picking letters from groups), and go online. Our son loves to listen to music on it. It also takes pics, videos, just we did not figure out how to get them back once deleted (if even possible). We love the video chat function and the remote pic function. Our main reason for getting the watch was to use the GPS, which we are OK with. Our son likes it and others were also impressed with the calling function of it. Overall we are OK with it, but wish these problem areas were not there. Maybe the MFG can improve on these. ... show more

My kid somehow snapped the band and its been almost 1 year so I just thought I try see if they would honor the warranty but wasn't expecting much. TikTok is available on this watch. As a matter of fact, it is the only social app there that I found. Would the manufacturer's country allow this, on their US-targeted network, sold for their kids? Not so much. See Bethany Mandel's "Stolen Youth". Socials in general are bad enough, but the one and only social app this watch has available happens to have been subject to a (correct - I've been in data communications for 40 years, 35 with a clearance for the US Gov't, and find the US ban on TikTok to have been worthwhile - so much so that the present administration, having dumped it as with all the previous administration's measures, is actually considering re-instating the ban soon.) ban on the app at least for government employees. My take - the watch went back immediately as I won't subject my kids to that dopamine-driven ideological tyranny. As for me and my house, we will serve... someone who does not send data about my children to the military wing of an adversary. ... show more
