The line is clean, the ink comes smoothly out of the pen, and it doesn’t have problems writing over highlighter. These pens write fantastically smooth. However, I picked all the little plastic tips off the pens and put them in my handy dandy 'writing implement mug' and just grab one when I need it. After about a week when I pulled out a pen, it had ink all over the end of the pen. I picked up another pen and that one appeared to have leaked ink as well. I picked up all the pens and looked in the bottom of the mug and saw lots of ink. The pens were in the 'closed' position for what it is worth, and the one pen I had left out on my desk did not leak as it was laying on its side. I now have the pens upside down in a mug (after cleaning with a clorox wipe) and all seems to be well now. Those talking about wishing the ink lasted longer...it may be in the bottom of your 'writing implement receptacle'. Overall great pens just have to be stored properly. ... show more
