    • All of Busch’s books are good.
I’m a fairly advanced amateur photographer, but there are always new things to learn with a new camera. A lot of what he writes is ‘basic’ knowledge - and this book is no exception. However, for the questions I wasn’t sure of the answers to were also there, and explained very well. I always recommend David Busch’s books to anyone who is getting a new camera. ... show more

I cannot imagine a more thorough, complete manual than this! I guess it's a combination of the complexities of the R6 MK II, and the current science of Photography rolled into one. I've taken college courses that were less complicated than this. Of course, I am just an amateur photographer and I've got a lot to learn, but this book covers not only the operation of the R6, but many ways to get the kind of shot you want. Cameras today are basically small computers, and as such they are constantly evolving and getting more powerful. I assume that the next generation of Cameras will incorporate more AI, and possibly be voice controlled because they are running out of space for all the buttons, knobs, and dials. So I don't have any illusions that this R6 will be the GOAT camera for me, but it should serve my needs for a long time. In all fairness, I would also say that Mr. Busch writes many camera books for many models, and probably lifts a lot of the same boiler plate material for a large number of sections. So this book is not only a manual for the R6, but also an overall Photography learning resource specialized for your specific camera. ... show more

Product itself is great in that it's a comprehensive review of the Canon R6, Mk 2 camera and all it's possible settings, etc., but was a bit disappointed in the way the book was shipped to me. It came in a padded envelope, but somewhere along the line, the package got bent or folded around something heavy in shipment, so the book arrived with a pretty bad bend down the middle of it. Have had it sitting under a pile of heavy books ever since, but when last checked, the bend in it was still evident, making it a little hard to use. Otherwise, a great product. ... show more

It’s a much easier read than the camera’s user guide. It’s important to READ the user guide, but this book is much easier to understand. Great gift for ANY photography buff.
