The Datacolor SpyderX Pro it worked perfectly. I calibrated 4 monitors. Just to let others who have a Sonnet EGPU puck it works fine. I have the EGPU connected to my 2018 Mac mini with 2 monitors running off it and I calibrated both monitors. Both monitors colors seemed pretty close. I even printed a picture out on my epson printer and it looked pretty close to matching both monitors. The software is easy to install and it recommends you to re calibrated your monitors at least once every month. Also there are a lot of videos on how to use this if you get stuck. ... show more

I had the Spyder 4 Elite for about 9 years. It was never great and left my display with a blue cast. Spyder X is a significant improvement. Not only is calibration faster, my display looks better than ever.

I used to have a Pantone Huey monitor calibrator which I used for many, many years. When I bought a new computer the software for my Huey was no longer supported so I had to find a new way to calibrate monitors. I am an amateur photographer and don't have professional needs but I do print often enough to find a fully calibrated workflow to be an advantage. The unit itself is small and seems to be well made. The USB cable length is OK but I would need an additional cable to extend it to two monitors. The software is easy to install but a bit intimidating to use as there are a lot of options which are not all that well explained. One of the things you will quickly learn is that this device does not want you working in a brightly lit space. Dark is good for proper calibration. I had to wait until the early evening and tweak the lighting in my office before I could get the unit to actually function. Calibration is quick but will require some intervention with the settings menu of your monitors. It will allow the calibration of multiple monitors. It also wants you to calibrate every month which I don't think is necessary for most users. So this is well made, with easy to install software with a lot of poorly explained options. It needs quite a specific environment before it will work and wants to calibrate your monitor far too often. I like it overall an it produces a great calibration profile but I don't think I'll ever love it. ... show more

I am constantly upgrading my equipment for my photography workflow. I was on a 27" iMac for about 6 years with an additional monitor. I recently stepped up to the Mac Studio with dual monitors of the same make but slightly different models. The difference in the screen looks were quite obvious and I couldn't get them to match no matter what I did manually. I finally decided to make this purchase and all I have to say is that I have been missing out. I can now work on either screen since they visually match and also get more accurate results.
