I use these for security cameras and trail cameras around my properties, and have used lots of different brands in the past. This TALKSIM data sim card had a very easy setup and comes with all the instructions to get you setup pretty quickly. The SIM card itself is adjustable to Micro/Macro sizes, you just need to snap off the plastic areas that you don't need if you are changing it down to Mico size. I usually have great signal where I am as it is a 5G/4G LTE area, so I can't say how well it would work at other locations, but for me I had no breaks in connection and the speeds were good. Nothing special like 60fps motion, but it's more than enough bandwidth to give you a clear picture of your security camera. 5 Stars, would definitely get again! ... show more

    • Finally got it to work.

*Important* You need to put in the APN on your phone which is "unet" and restart the phone. Once I got it working, it connected to T-mobile and worked for a few minutes. Then no connection. I'll update if I get reconnected but as of now, the data is non-existent right now for me.

Yes, I confirm it works with RPi 5 and Waveshare PCIe to M.2 4G/5G and USB 3.2 HAT. It didn't work at first, so I used a different computer and went to the web site specified in the packet to 'activate' the SIM. It did not require creating an account or giving a CC number just to use the trial data. The card and plan info web site however does leave a lot to be desired. It doesn't show you how much time is left for the trial or how much data is used. I can only wonder whether actually paying for a plan does (I have no plans to subscribe at this time). The EIOT SIM account info page on the other hand did show me the data used, data left and had a 30-day trial for the same price. But the plan prices for this card are lower than the EIOT SIM and there are more plan options as well as some auto-renew options. ... show more

Lost the SIM card and the device I put it in to test. Unsure if it works because I could not connect to the device in which it was inserted. If I find the SIM card/device I will revise my review to reflect this.
