EXPLORE BEYOND THE FAMILIAR. Inspired by decades of legendary hiking boots, we partnered with Vibram to forge a new path in hiking footwear. The combination of the Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole gives unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces while providing superior cushioning without the weight. Designed to withstand the climate and terrain of the Pacific Northwest, we utilized a smooth suede or full grain leather upper and Danner Dry waterproof protection. • Excellent boot, full stop.
Size: 11 Color: Chocolate Chip/Golden Oak
First pair of hiking boots I've purchased. They're the most comfortable shoe/boot of any kind I've owned. And I own nice brand tennis shoes. Blows away any cowboy/ work boot. They're water proof, very well cushioned, and great ankle support. Feels like you are walking on clouds. During my europe trip I hiked, walked extensively, lite jogged, walked in rain and snow.... and my feet had amlost not fatigue and remained 100% dry. Wear them out of the box, no break in period needed. Truly impressed. Made in Oregon USA? If you can afford them, no brainer. And I even like the color. ... show more

Size: 10 Color: Chocolate Chip/Golden Oak
This is the best hiking boot I have ever worn. I bought them for a hike in Crater Lake, OR. It's extremely lightweight, durable, waterproof, and warm. Best feature is the comfort. It's not heavy or clunky. Probably one of the most comfortable boots or shoe I have ever worn. That includes running shoes (Hoka, On Cloud, Asics). There was no need to break the boot in prior to the 3.5 day, 35 mile hike with elevations ranging from 900 to 1200 feet each day. Will definitely buy again. ... show more

  • I actually jogged after my dogs like I was wearing a sneaker
The only reason why I'm giving a 4star is because it wasnt an intense trial I put these boots through. Also, for those ladies that have wider feet and buy guy boots for the hikes this review is mainly for you..I'm normally a size 9 in men's and I went to a 8.5 for this boot..there's still a little room but works out for those that wear a thicker sock..I find them to be a little wider in the heal part. The boot is really light weight compared to what I normally wear on hikes..I actually jogged after my dogs like I was wearing a sneaker. Doesn't even feel like a boot. The sole has a very diesel look to it and even feels really tough..I trudge through the mud and water with these nothing seeped through found them to be very waterproof..the picture is after I sprayed them down cuz they were covered in mud..all n all good boot..I'll be trying them out for real in CO soon so I'll give a better update then ... show more

  • My new favorite hiking boots
Size: 11 Color: Saddle Tan
I've worn a few different hiking boot brands, and all have been good, but Danner Mountain 600 are my new favorite. They are very comfortable and durable. These boots are great for my feet, because I have bunions, and these boots fit great over them. No more irritated, calloused bunions.

  • Long-term Relationship
Size: 10.5 Color: Rich Brown
I’m on my third pair of these (the one on the right is almost 4 years old and I just retired them because the soles are extremely worn down, but the rest of the boot is perfectly fine and completely intact). They’ve taken me lots of places and I’ve worn them every day. They gain so much character the longer they’re worn. I’m a tradesman, so put a relatively heavy amount of stress on them. I also have worn them on multiple hunting trips in backcountry from Washington to Virginia. They have lasted me an average of 3 years each because I never did any maintenance, sadly. Simply amazing all-around boot. There might be more durable options out there, and if you’re looking for 100% waterproofing you need a different kind of boot altogether. But I don’t think you could ask for a better general-purpose boot. I’m going to maintain my current pair better. I also just now learned that danner can recraft these boots! As long as they make this boot I will never wear anything else. P.S. I’ve always ordered the Rich Brown Full Grain style 62250 ... show more

  • The Best Hiking Boots I Have Ever Had
Size: 10.5 Color: Rich Brown
This boot, Danner's Mountain 600, is hands down the most comfortable hiking boot I have ever had the pleasure to wear--and this right out of the box. No break in! This is the hallmark of a good boot. If it doesn't feel right right away it's going to be wrong all the time in my experience. I'm 70 and I bought these boots to replace my almost 20-year-old boots that have about 25,000 miles on them (not exaggerating). I lost track of how many times they were resoled. They are Havana Joe's Chukka boots, which I wore with an insert. Talk about a tough boot! So those are going in the trunk of my car for emergency wear. And these great Danner's boots are now my every day hiking boot. I just returned from an after-dinner one-hour fast hike in the dusk in the hills around my home. I can't say enough about the comfort level--buy these boots and you won't be sorry. The grip is great, the ankle support is just right without overdoing it. I should mention that I do have a hard to fit foot. My ankle is narrow and doesn't like slipping around (whose do?), I also have a high arch and am often troubled by shoes that hurt the top of my foot. My toe span is wider in relation to my ankle and those toes like a good deal of room. So Danner's boots addressed all these issues for me beautifully. A true 10 1/2 D is my fit, though my right foot would probably like a 10 3/4 D!! But the toe box is generous and my right foot was just as happy as my left foot. I was a bit hesitant about buying a hiking boot without trying it on but I was fortunate that Danner's sizes their boots just right--so 10 1/2 D it is. I hope this recommendation helps out any of you who read this. Happy hiking! ... show more
