I bought these boots because I have 4 other pairs of Danners and this deal was too good to pass up. The quality and fit are what expected from a high end boot. I have a wide foot and a high arch and the EE is perfect. They are a little tight to get on since they don’t have speed lacers up top and being waterproof the tongue is attached all the way up. The laces that come with the boots aren’t very good, so plan on replacing them with something better. There doesn’t seem to be a break in period since they are comfortable right out of the box. The soles seem to have great cushion and don’t seem like they will get rigid and slippery in cold weather. All around these are great boots and a great purchase! ... show more

Holy Cow! These boots are perfect. Lightweight, Waterproof, and Traction that makes you feel that you are wearing 4-Wheel Drives on your feet. These boots outperformed past boots that were 3 times the price. I work in property management at a resort in the mountains of northern California. Lots of demanding work on a 200 acre property, felling trees, operating heavy equipment, landscaping, construction, in the sun, in the rain, and after heavy snowfalls. This job is tough on clothing. I generally buy Danner's, Vasque, or Keen boots but eventually everything gives out. When I went to replace my last pair I came across these for less than a third of what I'm used to spending. These boots are awesome, comfortable and just as well built and in some cases better built than a lot of boots costing $200 to $300+....mine were in perfect condition when they arrived. Best boots you can buy, and can handle anything you throw at them. This is my second pair and the first pair is over a year old and still going strong. I work construction in the Appalachian Mountains so it’s real tough terrain. Hope this helps anyone who is looking to buy a pair.

Similar to marine issue got these to replace my work boots the toe and heel strap are sturdy and I expect they will hold up for a while longer than the unprotected leather type of boot. Last pair lasted 7 years with a few re soles best leather material I've ever had. Worth every penny. Will buy another pair when I can. ... show more

Dont wanna do an in depth review just yet because I just got them laced up and put on, but as far as the fit and feel… wow! I think theyre gonna be tanks, but I’ll update if I have anything negative to say later. Only nitpick I have is I’m not a marine or service member at all, but I couldnt pass these up for the price and reputation as an all around boot so I pulled the trigger anyway. Thats not the boots fault and thats on me if anything. I wouldnt normally wear these out of respect, but in this case I hope they can just pass as regular work boots. lol It would be awesome if they could make this boot in a civilian’s only model without the eagle, globe, and anchor emblem. ... show more

I do Burningman. I’m on my feet working 8-10 hours a day every day for 20 days. I need good boots! After 7 years of doing Burningman I’ve finally found them. These are hands down the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned!
