I wear this style of boot all year round on our small farm in Kansas. I also typically wear them around town too, but the full boot version is heavy and not conducive to walking long distances. I saw these recently on an Internet add and thought this would be a great everyday boot with some all day comfort...so far I've been right. Like any new boot there is some break in time required, but after this initial break in period I've been very pleased with the quality and performance of these boots. They are a good looking boot and are much easier to put on and take off than the equivalent full-length boot. They seem to fit true to size which is an issue with some new boots. They shine up real nice and so far, seem to be reasonably scuff resistant when I'm kneeling down with the toes on the ground. I think though that ultimately what drew me to these boots is the fact that they are made in the U.S.A., this is a rare thing these days. I wore these boots one time for less than an hour. They gave me blisters on both heels. I repackaged them in their original packaging and asked for a refund. I received a refund of $1.09 out of my $250.19 order. I asked for a fair refund, or an exchange, and was told that they are unable to help me. Complete waste of $250.
