I ordered this Danish whisk primarily for making biscuits. Up to now I have been using a spoon to mix the dough which did okay but not great. I had never used a Danish whisk before, but after reading the rave reviews I needed to give it a try. It's a little smaller than I anticipated, but that's actually a good thing as it fits into smaller bowls well and yet the long handle still makes it easy to use. I like the way it mixes dough, and it seems to do a better job than the spoon method. Dough does stick to the little loops of the whisk, but it is easy to push off with a finger when mixing is complete. While the whisk is dishwasher safe, I found it quite easy to simply wash it by hand. There is a fairly large gap where the metal whisk interfaces with the wooden handle, so I dry it upside down to keep water from being trapped inside where it might cause rust. Overall, I'm happy with this whisk and use it regularly. I don't do a lot of baking, but this whisk would be equally handy for hand mixing cake batter. ... show more

I mix bread dough with my whisk. It is made of stiff stainless steel "wire," stiff enough that it does not flex during use. Noting that it is still pretty new, so far the head is totally firm in the comfortable wood handle, that is, it doesn't wiggle within the handle when I use it. I gave it only three stars for easy to clean as I don't see how anything with a head that convoluted can be easy to clean (best done with a brush), but I also don't see how it could do the job as well as it does without being that twisty. I definitely recommend it, especially for mixing stiff, lower hydration doughs before kneading. ... show more
