I got this snow globe kit for my kids for Christmas. My very crafty artistic 4yr old struggled to build this and ultimately gave up. We had to finish it for him. The clay is very hard to work with and requires a lot of work to make it mailable. We tried to copy the pictures on the box and it was challenging to make figures that were small enough to fit in the snow glow. My impatient 6yr old had no problem building her snow globe figures on her own and actually impressed all of us with how well she did. Once all the clay was molded and baked, the rest of the build was very easy. I had concerns that they might leak but that is not the case. The kids love their snow globes.     • Don't expect to use the clay!
I would given this a negative star review if I could. The clay to make additional objects is more like chalk than clay. I was able to rehydrate it, but that took over a half an hour. I bought 3 kits so all my grandchildren could make one, none of the clay was good. And the objects inside only remained stuck down for a couple shakes of the globe. Now they are just floating around. Also, the design for base under the objects is thin cardboard, guess what that does in water? All around a terrible product. ... show more

Made these with 2 toddlers on different days. They were super excited to make them. The biggest problem was the clay was awful to work with, hard and crumbly. Heating it up helped some, but cooled off too quickly. As an adult I fought to mold anything with it, no way could the kids. Ended up being cute and the kids loved the end product. ... show more

    • Good but the clay was useless
I mean for $10 bucks it was fine but the clay was absolutely useless so be prepared to find your own little toys or figurines to put inside. The clay was rock hard. Impossible to mold.
