  • Impressive power and sound quality.
The media could not be loaded. I swapped out the soggy old amp for this nifty little number and tucked it into a watertight box to avoid a repeat performance. Snagged some banana connectors from Amazon, and after a bit of DIY drilling, we were in business. Right now, it's a solo act with just one speaker, but I'm scouting for its partner in crime. It's a 70-100V speaker that moonlights 8 Ohms passive on its days off, and guess what? It's working like a charm. For the cost, I'm over the moon with this mini marvel. It's cozily nestled in a Rubbermaid cabinet right under the speaker, staying dry and making waves. If you want to get the full 100w or 50W+50W, I suggest getting the highest voltage DC power adaptor compatible with the amp. I had a 9V adaptor and it worked but when I got one with full power it made a lot of difference. ... show more

  • Amazing little device
For the very low price I was expecting mediocre BT & sound quality at best. I am very pleased that the stability of the BT connection is great, the power output (with a good power supply) is shocking and the audio quality is very satisfying. It does not compare to my home theater in anyway but for the price it is amazing. I immediately paired it with my phone and later tried the aux port and couldn't get it to work. So I sent a message to the vendor who replied within hours and explained that I needed to disconnect the BT then it automatically switches to the aux input. Now that I know how to use it, it works great on both BT and aux. I just ordered a second one for the garage. ... show more

  • Mixed Bag
This very inexpensive little amp can produce very clean sound, but it is not as polished as the more expensive Class D amplifiers that I have used. With wired connections to a portable MP3 player or computer it produces clean sound, but when wired to either of my cell phones it produces a weak signal with a lot of hiss. This hiss appears to be on the input cable and can be heard on headphones if the signal is split to serve both headphones and this amplifier. The amplifier appears to put a DC bias of a few mV on the input. The Bluetooth connection from the cell phones worked well. Unique to this class D amplifier compared to others is that it draws a little under 10 watts of wall power when idle. This small power in a small device makes the whole assembly warm to the touch. With the loudest signal I could find I could not get the amplifier to draw more than about 25 watts of wall power. While this sounds small it was enough to drive a pair of baby advent 8 inch acoustic suspension speakers loud enough that I had trouble hearing myself shout. Larger speakers would produce more sound with the same amount of power. Overall it is a mixed bag. Because of the issue with the cell phones I am unsure if it will work in all the situations I might intend to use it. But when it works it works well. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble and sounds great!
Having various voltages and ohms available is key with the Bluetooth being a big plus

  • Great little amp, using it on my PC with some bookshelf speakers
Hard to beat the sound quality for the price if you ask me. I'm not a self-described audiophile or anything, but I have a decent ear for when a stereo sounds good or sounds like junk, and this sounds quite nice to me. I'm using it with a 5A power supply and a basic 3.5mm audio cable plugged into my computer. I connected it to a pair of Philips bookshelf speakers that I got years ago with some regular speaker wire and it sounds great. I can crank the volume plenty loud with no distortion, sounds clear. I just slapped the board together with the included basic frame and put it on my shelf. If I wanted to build an enclosure for it, or integrate it into a portable stereo or something, it looks plenty amenable to that, with decent mounting holes and a panel-mountable volume knob. As others have noted, the Bluetooth functionality works just fine, sounds good and such, but the amp will stay connected and your device will keep "playing" to it even if you turn the volume knob all the way off. I don't usually use it with Bluetooth so I don't mind, but it is a minor annoyance having to disconnect your phone manually when you're done. ... show more

  • Works great. Really worth the money.
I use it as an external amp for my PC. I use bluetooth connection, so not wires in between PC an AMP. It reconnects instantly every time my computer is turned on - no need to do it manually every time. I power it with the notebook power adapter (one that works with Dell notebooks) and it fits and works great. Amp powers pair B&W 600 series speakers. Sound is very clear and crisp, without noise or distortion. I'm thinking about buying another one for my garage home theater project. As I said, really worth the money. ... show more

  • Works well.
I run this module from a 4s li-ion battery and it works very well. The Bluetooth has good range and I have not had any issues connecting to it from multiple sources. The amplifier is powering 6 speakers that I pulled out of a large flat screen tv and the sound is very good. Two items of note. First in order to use the aux jack it cannot have a Bluetooth connected to it. Secondly, the module has a rotary knob (included) used to adjust volume, if you rotate the knob all the way in one direction there is an audible click. The assumption is the it is turned off. This is incorrect, the module stays connected to the Bluetooth source drawing power from the battery. In order to power it down I wired a switch between it and the battery. The module plays a sound when powered on, connects to a BT source and when it disconnects. I would but this again for another project. ... show more
