I snowboard poorly and have prior wrist injury, so wrist protection is a must for me. Prior to having these I had to opt for summer sports wrist protection under large size snow gloves, was very not comfy. Got these and they are amazing! They are made of super sturdy rubberey-coated material that won't fall apart quickly, unlike 3 pairstof gloves that each lasted me 1 season. The wrist guards are hidden in pockets and can be removed for washing or when you wanna use the gloves for non sport activities, like winter hiking and whatnot. Guards definitely work, I fall alot and this weekend was very icey, I kept falling on that one icy spot, one time fell to the point where my knees got bruised through knee pads, would probably be some major injury w/o them and no issues with wrists regardless of how the fall went. Amazing! I wear size 7 gloves in Women sizes and S in Dakine (grey + teal color option) fit great: snug around wist and comfy perfect length in fingers. There is additional strap that secures wrist guards to where they belong. Putting these on and taking them off is pretty easy. They do look bit bulky but not horribly so. They were warm enough for -10C/13F. Would probably need glove liners if it walls below that. All and all highly recommend and quality gloves. I went with the advice of the other reviews and bought a size up. I'm glad I did. The advertised measurement says I wear a medium. But I bought the large size and it is very tight fitting. Can't imagine how tight it would have be if I bought a medium. Overall, the wrist guard is comfortable and easy to put on since it has one strap. Recommended. Just buy a size up ... show more

Wrists are vulnerable when riding mountain bikes. I won't leave home without these guards.I like the way they are designed and constructed. I'm very particular and handy. With little trouble, I custom tweaked the plastic-enclosed steel bands to better fit into my palms so I can better hold onto my handlebars. Also to better fit over/under (depending on season) my gloves. IMO, nothing like this is going to be perfect straight out of the box. Highly recommend. ... show more

I got these for snowboarding. When ordering make sure you buy one size larger than what you think you need. The size chart says my hand would fit a large, so I bought a Xtra large and it fits me great. It does make it harder to hold things like a GoPro on a selfie stick, but it's still usable. Fit was good and I like that they are slim enough to fit under a normal pair of gloves. I wore these snowboarding and on my first crash hurt my left wrist. These do a good job of preventing hyperextension but the large metal brace dug into my palms. At first I thought it might of just been a fluke but on the 2nd fall it did the same thing. Both falls were nothing serious. I have been snowboarding a long time falling all the time and have never had this happen so I blame the wrist guards. ... show more

Broke my wrist twice in a year and was looking for something that would fit under a ski glove, but also offer enough protection for soccer spills. This hit both marks perfectly. Fit great under my Gordini gloves with no issues. I've taken over a dozen tumbles in soccer thus far an this thing has taken the abuse with zero reinjury to my wrist. I can throw in a ball no issue, zero interference from the brace. Only thing I did was reroute the strap to be a cinch strap wrap instead of just a wrap.
