They don’t make it clear at all that this insert only fits the jobsite saw. I bought this item not knowing that (because it is not made clear on the product page) and now I can’t use it because I have a contractors saw or return it because I didn’t realize it didn’t fit until I needed to use it which was after the return window closed. Still made out of a thin plastic (looks like a fiber reinforced material), with reinforcing ribs underneath. I would have preferred it to be made from heavyweight phenolic, but this should work fine. There’s a question about using this insert for standard blades as a lower cost alternative to the phenolic one. Don’t. It blocks the riving knife attachment slot and without it (and the blade guard) the saw is much more dangerous. You own a SawStop because of the safety features and it makes no sense to sacrifice one to save a few dollars… ... show more
