Precision machined from a high-quality, ultra strong phenolic core material that is covered on top and bottom with a low-friction, wear-resistant melamine surface.     • Use for Making Zero Clearance Inserts for Your Stopsaw
After getting my dado set I needed an insert to use with my blade and this fits the bill. Good fit and finish, easy to use. Instructions come with the insert on how to create the zero clearance cuts. You can use this for any zero clearance blade insert for the Stopsaw table saw.

    • Works great and easier to install than thought
I was a little iffy cutting through this at first with my new dado not knowing if it would set of my cartridge but all went well. In case you don't know you have to put on your dado blades, lower it all the way down, turn it on and then crank the blade up into the insert for a custom fit. If you don't have room on the bolt for all your dado blades I was told by their great costumer service to take off the washer after a half inch. I recently bought this as zero clearance insert for crosscut blade. A little pricey but I like that it locks down like all the SS inserts do. Will buy another when I buy a dado set. Sawstop quality justifies spending a little more in my opinion.

    • Works great for regular saw
I use it for regular blade, not dado. The reason is that it's flat and does not have that large hole on the back that has a tendcy to catch small cuttings. You will need to cut the opening as per instruction and then extend it all the way to the back for the riving knife.

    • A quality part worth the expense.
A necessary replacement when I accidentally damaged the original insert. Actually, have two and this one has only a 90 degree slot to make it a near zero clearance slot. Another is cut for angled cuts and that means a slightly wider slot. The zero degree clearance seems to give smoother edges. The design makes changing blades or adding or removing the dust shield a snap. Love almost everything about my SawStop including this insert ... show more
