  • Like other reviews, awesome with minor drawbacks
Style: S001-V2
I built in this case almost a year ago now. I purchased when it was around $55 if my memory serves correct. It is an awesome idea, but would echo a few of the other reviewers concerns. Screws are all super cheap crap, stripping easily. My biggest issue has been the rubber feet for the bottom. Because there is only space for one intake fan in the front, it's important in many instances to have good airflow in all other areas, including on the floor of the case. Issues arise when the cheap screws and cheap rubber feet team up on you and come undone/fall out. I haven't tried yet, but the best solution will probably be some coarse thread screws to grab onto the rubber again. All in all, does take a lot more work than other cases since assembly and any paint/stain you want to do will take a little more money and time. That said, it was a super fun project, and it's an eye catcher for friends and family ... show more

  • Awesome idea, mediocre execution
Style: S001-V2
I've got a lot of opinions on this case. First of all, the design is awesome. The idea to laser cut 1/4in plywood for a PC case, held together by box joints and small hardware, great on paper. But then you take that idea and mix it with really cheap Chinese manufacturing, it quickly turns sour. When I first got the package, all the panels fit together really nicely except for the bottom panel, and on top of that I was missing a bunch of hardware too. To their credit, when I contacted the seller they shipped everything I was missing free of charge. Everything took a while to arrive thanks to having to go through customs, but it did eventually arrive and the parts were fine. The instructions are bare bone. Very vague, and the diagrams are poorly made and badly printed on one giant sheet of paper. There are so many different screws that they can be hard to keep track of if you're not used to putting together small hardware. The power button and other accessories that plug into your motherboard work well. The buttons have a nice weight to them and they mount nicely. There should be a cutout for accessing the PSU switch. I had to cut one out for my own peace of mind. If the case was about half an inch to an inch larger in every direction, the fitment and air flow would work much better. I bent my USB 3 pins on my motherboard trying to plug it in. No huge loss, but still a loss. It's wood. Super customizable with very basic tools and materials. That's the best thing about this case. The sky is the limit when you apply a little creativity. Let me be clear, this is not a great product. I had to apply some elbow grease to achieve satisfying results, but I still love it. There's tons of room for improvement, and if you've got the patience and the know-how and you want a very unique case, then here it is. Be warned, this is not anything I'd recommend to a beginner, whether they're beginners to computers or to woodwork. You are, essentially, buying a project. 3/5. Love it, but quality control issues and poor design drag this product down. The seller didn't leave me dead in the water and addressed my issues accordingly. I would love to see this thing improve and maybe even different iterations. ... show more

  • Sturdier than I thought, nice build for creativity! (just make sure to use different screws)
Style: S001-V2
Decent materials, the finished build was sturdier than I thought a wooden case would be. Doesnt flex really at all unless you put a decent amount of pressure on it. Nice for people who want to get creative with their build! I made mine yellow with wood stain since the hexagons reminded me of a beehive! WARNING: The screws that come with the build are cheap crap. REPLACE THEM AND THROW THE DEFAULT ONES OUT! I screwed them in (not to tightly, I might add) and a month later after wanting to upgrade the airflow, almost half of the screws required to get into the front and back of the case stripped, requiring either weird screwing techniques or me to use a Dremel and *saw a slot into the screwhead to remove with a flat head*. The screws are metric, M3x8mm. Get 40 of them. Youll have some left over, keep them for spares. ... show more

  • Pretty cool
Style: S001-V2
First time ever building a computer from scratch. The case went together super easy, with the right tools of course. A mini battery powered screwdriver worked perfect for these type of screws. For taking apart a computer for the first time and putting it all in a new case, it went smoother than I expected. It looks a lot cooler than I originally thought it would. A nice crystal clear side panel where you can see everything inside makes it look even better. Very impressed with how it turned out. ... show more

  • Its Alive!!!
Style: S001-V2
Takes a bit to put this case together but it turned out just as expected. Used a machinist X7 motherboard along with fans to match the color scheme. Still waiting for a few additional parts to arrive but everything works well at this point. Would recommend this case for a mid level to expert builder. ... show more

  • Excellent case with a few issues
Style: S001-V2
I did stain my case but don’t sand it first. It caused some scratches in the case. Thermals are great and it’s quiet but there are a couple of issues. 1) The power supply is internal so you would have to take the side panel off to fully shut it down. I dremeled a hole in the top and made a little hinge to access it with a pen 2) You have to unscrew the panel every time you need to access it. It’s a huge pain. I love the aesthetics besides the scratches I made in it. The mobo I used didn’t leave me enough space for two fans on the bottom but four is more than enough. I used four noctua case fans and a noctua low profile cpu cooler. I also put an analog thermometer in the case because I thought it went well with the low tech look. ... show more
