I was really excited to get this as a foot stool/food table for a little reading nook. I like the look and feel, and it's definitely sturdy and well made. My only complaint, and the reason I'm docking a star, is because this does not have a hard tray table top. The product pictures made it seem like it did, with the items resting on top of the flipped over lid. It is a felt-like material stretched over a wooden frame. If you aren't looking for the tray, then this is a good option and I do recommend. I bought it for the tray top table and was disappointed to see it did not actually have it. Every time I go to sit on this stool, one of the corners of the lid sinks into the bench. So frustrating. The design is flawed because the ottomon lid doesn't have a trim to keep it in place/stop it from sliding into the storage space. Fails as a chair.
