(Rating the magic pharmacist nook) This is a quality kit, with very well cut out wood pieces, and clear instructions. The attention to detail is great, which is reflected in the end result which looks amazing. Definitely though NOT something to let kids assemble by themselves, there are some tight fits and some fragile pieces which require some finessing. Also, a LOT of supergluing is involved, and they DO NOT include it in the box. Other small issues I had: - The perfume bottles with the beads were hard to glue, and I'm glad I had a 3rd arm and magnifying lens to help me - The final battery cover latch really does not work, and I had to improvise another latch using bits and pieces leftover from the kit Overall, it took my daughter (15yo) and I (adult) a total of around 6h to finish to this. The media could not be loaded. This was my very first build and I had so much fun. This thing is absolutely adorable and I am so proud and love it. It lived up to my expectations and more. I was impressed with how well each piece was cut and how everything fit together. I was delighted by all the little details and extra touches. I loved that I could customize it just a bit by adding dried moss like another person mentioned here. This kit was challenging without being frustrating. The directions were not always super clear, but I could figure it out. I used a tacky mini-furniture glue I got on Amazon called Starbond Multi-purpose Medium, which was perfect because it came with very tiny applicators and bonded pretty much instantly (just be careful of your fingers!!). I found this to be well worth the money and I'm beyond happy. Thank you!! I can't wait to buy another one! ... show more

the kit is very well designed, and is very high quality. its easy to put together by following the instructions, some parts are more delicate so you need to handle them with care the box was a little damaged but the kit itself was in perfect condition, took about 5 hours of assembly time i highly recommend this book nook kit. ... show more

Incredibly detailed. I'm having fun and it'll be awesome on my bookshelf. It is therapeutic for me. I have to concentrate on this. I have to work little pieces of fragile wood out of the sheet and fit them together with perfect pressure at just the right places so it doesn't break even though it is often a very tight fit that require some pressure. I need to read and follow directions carefully and use my imagination and careful study of each piece to figure out exactly how to fit the pieces together and where the stresses will be and how to work within these limits. And I'm concentrating on my hands and feeling and paying a whole lot of attention to my senses and stuff outside of my head. Keeps my monkey brain busy for an hour or so every few days and gives me some relief from my ruminations. It is a kind of meditation. And we all need some kind of meditation. I used to do the Metal Earth kits but I'm getting older and I can't see that small without help. And my fingers are getting more fumbly. This is big enough to see where all the parts fit together and I don't have to shape 5mm metal pieces with middle-aged fingers. It does require glue. And you will want something you don't have to clamp. Something like E6000. At least one of my panels was off and the cuts did not line up with the pictures. And of course it was the people so the focal points of the scenes are going to have ears for eyes. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought Starbond Multipurpose Medium glue as another reviewer recommended. Glad I did because the precision applicators that come with it were very useful. Other than that, I used scissors, a pair of regular tweezers, and a pair of long-handled bent tip tweezers to assemble. Pieces were all included, but I removed one star because the witch hat arrived broken (should have been bubble wrapped! I glued it because I didn’t want to return the kit for one item). This took me about ten hours to complete. The cauldron: Lots of builders had trouble with this because the pieces are easy to break. I laid each oval side piece facedown then glued one end of a “rib” piece and put it in the slot. I then “walked” the rib onto the facedown side piece, curving it as I went, then slotted the other end of the rib into its place. This helped me avoid breaking the delicate side pieces. Hope that helps! I included an image of the completed kit. Third photo: I added some plants and other items purchased separately. This was a lot of fun and looks great on my shelf. The quality of the materials in this kit is very good ( the wood is thicker than other kits that I’ve seen) and the pieces fit together perfectly. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. The majority of the pieces could be easily removed although some required and easy cut with an exacto knife at the joint. The sheets of wood came wrapped tightly so there wasn’t any scratching or broken pieces. The plexiglass was covered with a removable protective film. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. As a fan of detective themes, I was blown away this time. Let's dive in! Took me 4 hours to put together, totally worth it. It's a fun build where you get to play detective, figuring out the "real story." There are clever little secrets, like turning a piece to swap out wall art, and all parts are printed, not hand-made, with laser-cut wood that's easy to detach but high quality. It looks super cool on my bookshelf with the light on, a great touch. I added some DIY items to make it unique, but it stands out on its own. A fascinating project. It's now my favorite decoration and collectible on my bookshelf. I love it and will keep buying from this brand, but this one tops them all. Big thumbs up to CUTEBEE. ... show more
