  • Okay
Color: XW Orbit LED Adjustable Single Bracket, ...
It serves it purpose. My complaint is that the manufacturer does not include any extra nuts and screws. While attempting to mount a light l dropped the top nut into my fully planted black substrate aquarium. I still haven't found it. Note to Current be a sport and include spare nuts. How much could it possibly cost. ... show more

  • Works for Finnex HLC with modification
Color: Black
I like this light stand. I have it on a 20g long. It is reasonably sturdy especially considering it is not made for my lights. I have 2 Finnex HLC 30in fixtures. They are super light so weight isn't a problem. The only thing I modified is the plastic light mounts. They are made of a decent plastic and can be heated and reshaped to fit your application. I used a heat gun. I heated the edges and made them contour to my lights. They are a super tight fit now and slide on from the ends of light so there is no chance of falling off. This is super hard to review since I am not using the fixture for the intended purpose. The fact that it works so well for me and my light makes this an easy 5 star rating, but I have no idea how it will work for the actual light this is made for. The price is right too. I think that this can be made to work for any light that can fit in the bracket. I would just be careful with weight. ... show more

  • Does the job.
Color: Black
Bought this for my led light. Apparently my light is skinnier then the mount it’s intended for. So I just threw some shims behind the light for a tight fit, seemed to do the trick. Overall not bad, would have been nice if it came with different sizes for different lights is all.

  • Sturdy metal adjustable supports for Current brand lights.
Color: Black
Beware, there are two types of these light supports. One supports only one light (good for narrower tanks) and one for holding two lights, or one further out toward the center of the tank. I had to return the one I bought here and go shop for the XL model in town, but I do own two of them and can say I'm very pleased with their functionality. Or tank is a 24 wide... Get the XL model for anything wider than about 18 inches ( front to back) or your lighting will fall on the back of the tank and not the center of your tank. The XL also comes with the ability to hold two different lights and you can adjust the width of the bracket even with two lights, so you can reach across the top of a 36 in tank and get a reasonable amount of light throughout. For each model, there are two plastic bricks with two sided tape to help you apply this to a rimmed tank, you can skip them on a rimless tank. You might apply them on a rimless acrylic tank just to avoid screw marks. You get three set heights for the light, to set it higher off the tank or closer to the tank. The height is up to about 5 inches on my setup, but could vary based on the configuration of your tank. First, put the mounts on your light and then slide the support on and tighten it well. If your tank is wider than about 20 inches, you would probably do best to buy two so it holds the light steady, and will likely need two of you are using a tank with a rim that has a center support, because you don't want the light to be held off center and out of balance unless you wish to play chicken with electricuting your fish accidentally.. Not because the light falls off, but more because the support can tilt if it isn't tight. If you are smarter than me, put this on before you fill your tank and have to hang over the water trying to get it set up. We shirts are only fun in movies. Enjoy! ... show more

  • How I got it to fit my rimmed tank (125 Gallon)
Color: Black
I never, ever write reviews on Amazon. However, this is my first tank build and I'm doing it alone from my own research. I bought this product and then read the reviews after I noticed my arms were leaning downwards. This is what I did which is not explained in the instructions for rimmed tanks: 1) Hold up the arm in the position you want as you screw in the long screws. Move left and right to each screw without letting go of the arm to keep it in place. The long screws should be about even when done. I did a little tightening with a flathead but not too much so I don't damage the glass. 2) If the arm is leaning down, I took out the long screws and did some bending with my hands to straighten out the "L" if that makes sense. I realized this to be a possible fix as I bought two arms and one of them did not need this. 3) I attached a photo with some bungie cords in the loops. I planned on drilling in some cheap hooks in the back of my stand or inside to connect the bungie cords to. By pulling down on the bungie cords will straighten the arm just a tad more. Also make it a bit more secure. As you can see, my tank is super heavy and I'm not about to move the entire thing out to put a board up. Honestly, it doesn't look like I need the bungies at this point but I'll add them if the lights weigh it down too much. Anyways, I hope this helps people. Good luck and happy reefing. ... show more
