Update: I returned the old stinky one delivered and ordered a new one and it smells much better! It does have an odd smell but it doesn’t smell rancid like the old one lol. It works really well and my curls look just like wash day!

I like the fact that after wash day I can use this product everyday and it locks moisture into my fine thin curls. My hair has become healthy and is growing with the help of this stuff (in addition to curlsmith detox system too). The only downside is of course the price and the fact that there’s white residue when I spray a lot of it. I just have to work on my hair longer to make it absorb. ... show more

I have bought this product probably three times now. It's worth the cost! I use it when I first wash my curls and towards the end of my wash week to revive them. It makes my curls behave so well and can definitely get me an extra day or two before I have to wash my hair! Would definitely recommend.

So, having a perm, with gray hair can make it frizzy. I have found the Curlsmith works really well with that problem. I got the reactivator, just to see if it would actually do what it says it will. Surprisingly enough, it does. It also doesn't make my hair sticky. Initially putting it on, it was a bit sticky, but it dried nicely, and amped up the curl. I can't say it was completely frizz free, but it was better than it has been and I could live with it. The only issue was the smell. Perhaps it may just be my nose, or the combination of the shampoo/conditioner I used, will use a different product to figure that out, but after spraying it on, it had a weird fishy smell. Like I was spraying fish oil in my hair. The smell didn't stick around after it dried, it was only while it was wet....so no lasting effects. It was odd. Perhaps a combination of things causing it? Will experiment to see if that changes. Overall, would recommend it. ... show more

Was looking for a good “curl refresher” product and this was recommended to me by an Ulta employee. I have thick, soft, low porosity ringlets naturally, but they will typically turn into frizz with two day old hair. Using this product on my one-day old curls, would separate my already defined pattern and break it up into smaller, frizzier, sections. If you have smaller ringlets or very low porosity hair, I’m sure this product would probably do wonders for you. But, if you have thin hair, hair that tends to get greasy, thick curl patterns, or low porosity hair- try a sample before committing to the full size. ... show more

I agree with one of the review that it has a fishy smell at the beginning but it doesn’t last. The texture is not the best at the moment you apply it but after some minutes the hair will be smooth , with a pretty decent definition. This is the product we have been waiting for.
