For reference, I’m a 45 yr old natural redhead with dry, sometimes oily in the cheek/chin area. I’ve tried high-end skincare, the at home makeup ladies skincare (MK), and anything you can think of in between. I have sensitive, acne-prone combination skin that’s frankly really hard to take care of. I’ve been on the seemingly never-ending quest for skincare that works for me for the last several years, jumping from one regimen to another. I study up on products before purchasing them now, using the site INCI Decoder to check ingredients for the comedogenic & irritation potential. I was really impressed to find that this one has really, really low potential for either (photos attached). I have tried many, many moisturizers — this is one of very few I’ve found that actually works for me, and meets all my requirements. Scent: I get headaches easily & my skin is sensitive to fragrance. This doesn’t smell like anything. Texture: I haven’t felt anything like it before. It’s almost like cool whip..? It’s very very lightweight and airy and spreads easily without any pilling. It’s enough to keep away dry patches while using Tretinoin, but it’s not greasy or heavy at all. Effect on skin: I use this at the end of my regimen, after Peach & Lily cleansing gel, Laneige milky moisturizing toner(?), Innisfree Vitamin C serum, and 10-15min after applying Altreno gel (a form of the prescription retinoid Tretinoin), morning & night. It keeps my skin hydrated & moisturized for at least a day without forming any dry or greasy patches, which says a LOT. Value: $20 for a tub is fine. It’s not a ton, the pots are pretty small, but I’m happy to pay for anything that keeps my skin happy. I’m a little bummed it doesn’t come in a tube or pump bottle since pots will collect bacteria from repeatedly dipping your finger(s) in it, but it’s fine. Overall, this is the most pleasant experience I’ve had with a moisturizer. It’s legitimately so neutral that I don’t even have to think about it — it’s just such a seamless part of my skincare routine now. I’ve been using it for over a month now and haven’t had any issues at all with irritation or breakouts or dryness (or anything that can be a sign of a failing lotion). I get routine laser treatments for my face which leaves my face raw after each session. This moisturizer calms the redness in one night. It’s extremely hydrating, plumps up the skin, makes your skin glowy. BUT not thick at all, dries down really fast, super lightweight. No scent at all. This product is ok. It does moisturize, the texture is nice and it hasn’t a scent which is perfect. Super value as I only reach for it if I’m in a hurry. If I used it daily the product would be gone. I have eye creams with more product inside. My only recommendation would be double the amount of product for the current cost and I think this cream would fly off the shelves! The best eye cream I have ever used! I saw this eye cream from a skin specialist on TikTok who recommended it, and I trust her. I basically tried most of what she praises! It’s so hydrating and it awakens my eyes in the morning amazingly. I have sleep problems so my eyes are always looking tired and dark. Using it made my eye area brighter and looking hydrated. I use it every morning and I apply it under my eyes and lids as well. So refreshing. It can be used AM & PM if you don’t do retinol on your eyes at night. The texture: not light nor too thick but it feels rich and feels nice on the skin. With makeup: This is the first eye cream that I don’t hesitate using before my makeup to prep the skin! It’s amazing I just wait for it to soak into the skin first and then I apply my makeup. I recommended to my mother and I ordered her one and I’m almost done with my first purchase and will be placing a new order in few days! At first I thought this was going to be a good moisturizer but after a while of continuous use, I feel as it’s not really moisturizing but more so sitting on surface level. I don’t feel like it is very effective in moisturizing the skin.
