I’m glad I found this product. I was always waking up in the night with my feet itching. Now that I use this product every day on my feet, I have no more itching at night. The only downside to it is that there is kind of a white residue that will come off on my clothes so I need to wash my hands after using it. ... show more

I've used Curel Itch Defense for many years, at least 8 at this point. It's heavily moisturizing without feeling heavy at all and completed scent free. I struggle with keratosis pilaris and have used a wide variety of body lotions to help control it, and what I've noticed is that every time I stray from this, no matter how heavy or highly recommended the product is for KP, I end up with a reoccurrence of the issue within a week. Curel has been a consistent performer along with exfoliating using a hard towel or salux cloth in the shower daily. All three of my littles have or have had childhood eczema and I didn't hesitate to use Curel for them during breakouts. It doesn't sting their sensitive skin and helps control and abate the flares so I don't have to heavily use their prescribed corticosteroid cream. This product is so effective and inoffensive in how it feels, wears and smells that my husband also uses and loves it. He's not a guy who is too into cosmetic applications, and suffers from dry skin so it's a major win that he will use this to help prevent irritation and itching, especially on the hands and feet. ... show more

    • 5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Few Lotions That Doesn't Make My Eczema Prone Skin Itch
Size: 20 Ounce Itch Defense
I originally bought this formulation of Curel at Walmart. However, Walmart in its goal to reduce its product assortment no longer carries this particular Curel. The formulations differ. While one can work another can cause me to itch. I now buy this formulation on Amazon. If you like me have exzema, a quick cure is to soak for 20 minutes in a hypersalinic solution. Pour so much salt into the tub that it no longer goes into solution. Soak in it for 20 minutes submerging all affected areas. You can rinse off or not in the shower. Usually I shower first so that I am clean when I get into the tub. This is fine for babies and children too. Much of the eczema will be gone the next day or in a few days. Repeat as often as necessary. Top skin with the Curel and use any prescription cream over it on affected areas. You can use any kind of salt. Ice cream and Kosher salt are less expensive b/c they come in big boxes. I noticed in one comment that a mother had been using Burt's Bees products unsuccessfully before using Curel. Many of Burt's Bees products contain Lanolin, a common allergen, that should not be used by people with eczema. Curel has none. Just b/c a product is labeled organic or all natural is no guarantee that it will work. In fact for eczema sufferers it likely won't. People with eczema should avoid such products. We tend to have reactions to organic ingredients like lanolin and plants that grow as well as scent. Inorganic ingredients usually won't cause a reaction. Check the labels. Instead of salt the sufferer can use 1/4 cup of chlorine bleach. If you have stubborn eczema, you should visit a dermatologist who will prescribe a prescription strength cream. You may need more than one visit to find the most effective cream. There is also a prescription pill now. However, for mild to moderate eczema, topicals are probably safer. Cheryl Lee M .D. has some products that are worth trying. If you have a prescription cream, you need not purchase her over the counter cortisone cream. ... show more

This product calmed down my ichy skin but left my skin feeling very sticky and oily. It did not absorb into my skin like I thought it would. Very disappointed.
