I bought this chair for my 92 year old FIL. He can operate it easily in low speed and with it being lightweight, it's easy for me to get it in and out of the car to take him to church. His only complaint is the beeping noise in reverse. It's not exactly appropriate if he needs to use the restroom during services. I have not figured out a way if it can be disabled.?? the electric chair seemed great first few weeks.. have only had wheelchair about 6 months. the arms fell off twice each side. screws fell out many times. front wheels do not maintain contact when going out door and down ramp chair darts off sideways twice wheel chair flipped over the sides of the ramp down onto deck with my daughter still in the electric wheelchair. the seat stretching out causing seat to put pressure onto the cords attached to the battery. The manual brakes don't hold well. chair continues to move forward for a few seconds when the joy stick is released. been trying to contact culver company but cannot fid a working phone number. The wheel chair was delivered without the anti-tipping wheels. Repeated phone calls to Culver only got a message that the mailbox was full and then a hang up. No email was given. Sending messages through the website got no responses. Apparently Culver was unwilling or unable to provide the missing safety devices. Since they would not respond I will never know which. After numerous contacts and complaints with Amazon, I finally received a return label. Wait! I am supposed to pay the return shipping for wheel chiar that was unsafe to use??? More discussion with Amazon and they finally agreed to reimburse the return shipping. Another mistake. Because Amazon credited me the return shipping of $131.35 their system acted as if the return was complete. I was still out the $838.00 I had paid. Another two weeks of calls to Amazon before I finally received my refund. A seller that does not make any effort to provide customer service or even respond is not the seller I would chose to buy from. I should have read the bad reviews more carefully. Update: this wheelchair has been great! I guess my chair has the new improved design and I can pull the charger into the joystick controller. This chair has made my life so much easier!!! I highly recommend. My scooter can’t fit in my trunk but this can and it makes going places in a hurry more enjoyable. This will be my travel go to for sure!!!! I got my wheelchair today but I have two black boxes on the back of my chair. No button to turn off and set to manual like they state in the booklet. Very frustrating and I’d have to unscrew a ton of screws to attempt to remove the battery. A little worried that mine has two large black boxes where the battery is supposed to be. ... show more

First problem was after the 30 days was over my friend noticed one of the safety wheels was missing. After many attempts to reach Culver to no avail I turned to Amazon. After many weeks and long holds Amazon did their best to help me. I just wanted a wheel. No Culver said.Long story short after much anxiety Amazon came through for me. The chair bluee model, was not even chair I thought I was buying. Arms do not lift, battery is not removable yet instructions say you must remove before charging! Cleary this instruction book was not for this model. Made me wonder... Culver was impossible to contact number I found did not work. Again Amazon began trying to reach them .They are the best. Culver appears rather shady to me. If you are looking for a basic chair it will be great. Tighten all bolts before using. Other sellers sell this chair, I would buy from a more trusted,responsive seller and be sure your arms do indeed raise, I thought I was doing something wrong. Nope this just is not the chair I thought I was purchasing. Beware! I thank God Amazon made me whole and I have ordered similar chair from a seller with no complaints. ... show more

This product appear to have cheaper in quality that it might break and while lifting and put it in the car. It struggled with starting sometimes and had right inclination. At times it struggled to go when there is uneven surfaces It is not true that you can return in 3 Mns. It has to be within 30 Days unused 😀 So it puts us in rush not to take chances to figure out. On top of that I spent 256$ in USPS to return because they don’t cover the returns. Not sure how they think it is possible to Keep that expensive item when it is not that great while it moving either the product breaks or the patient breaks for not being able to walk. ... show more
