I chose this coffee maker because I like to make single pods and my partner likes to brew a pot, so this was a great way to cut down on devices on the counter. I did buy a “like new” used version, but it had never been USED and came in original packaging with the plastic still on, so I got it for a great deal. I went to do the initial hot water brew before making coffee for the first time and this was where it all went downhill. The carafe brewed no problem, and then I went to try the pod side and the button didn’t flash on and wouldn’t brew. I though oh silly tech, it’s probably me- cut to an hour an half later, after reading the manual, watching demos, and CALLING CUISINART to see if there was a hard reset or trick I could do! Come to find out, this is a common flaw with this product, and the rep recommended I return this and get my money back because this happens a lot and there’s nothing else to try or do. Why they haven’t revamped this maker so that doesn’t happen, idk, but it’s not worth the 150-200 it costs, and I didn’t even spend that much and I’m pissed! ... show more

The combination of a single brew option, with a sleek pot and warming plate was hard to find for under $200. This was the best option after weeks of looking online. I purchased a $250+ SMEG machine from Amazon last year and it stopped working after 11 months. Hopefully, this one will last longer.

This is my second purchase of this coffee maker. My first one actually started getting a plastic smell so my husband unplugged it. I called customer service and they were great. They will send me another but we are a big coffee drinkers so I actually ordered another while waiting for the replacement. That’s how much I love this coffee maker. We do run it about 3 times a day so it is used a lot. I love the filer so the water is purified as it enters the machine. The coffee tastes great. It is easy to clean. I don’t use the timer very much but it does work. My daughter loves the single serve side. I use it often for making tea. Overall best coffee machine I have ever had. I have had no issues with leaking or anything. The pot is great as it holds 12 cups. My only small issue is pouring the coffee slowly. The pot can dribble if poured too fast. I did have the one issue but the customer service backs the product and that is everything. I would recommend! ... show more

This coffee pot works well. the carafe did shatter on the hot plate, not sure what happened. The pod section did have the problem that many had reviewed with the light not coming back on after the initial first use. There was a review that stated you could pull up on this grey, silicone 'button' behind where the pod itself sits and I got used to pulling that up all the time. Annoying but it worked, however if you have bigger fingers you would probably need a tool to help. Well I came upon a post that on Reddit that mentioned they had someone in customer service who knew how to fix it. You might need to uplug the machine the reset it first then pull up and down on that button several times (like 10) and it seems to fixed now. It sucks that an older carafe I kept from the previous maker doesn't sit right on the hot plate and that the correct replacement is $50 through their website which is ridiculous as the carafe is useless without the maker. Their customer service can be iffy but thank you for finding out something that should have been in the instructions and they need to make parts easier to replace. ... show more

Excellent machine. I like the funnel type for the carafe better than the basket type. Pod size can be adjusted from 4 oz up to 12 oz. Lots of features and easy to use. The POD reservoir tank is smaller than a dedicated POD machine but average for most combo units.

We enjoy the craft side of this coffee machine. We have had major issues with the pod side. Each time we use it, since the first time, it overflows and grounds get all in the cup of coffee and also all in and around the machine. It is a pain to clean the grounds out of the machine because no parts come out to clean, you just have to wipe inside and around until all the grounds are gone, this is very time consuming. Also when I contacted Cuisinart customer service I do not think their return policy is fair. They want me to cut the cord to the machine, take a picture of this, send back the machine and then wait 2 weeks for the replacement, therefore we would be without a coffee pot for two weeks because they sell a faulty product? If I have to go out and get a new coffee pot I’m going to buy a new one and not waste 200$ on one that doesn’t work well. I asked if they could charge me for the new one, ship it and then refund me when they get my broken one back, so we can use the craft side in the mean time, so we don’t have to be without one. They told me no, and I will have to go without and wait for the replacement. Seems strange, I asked why they operate this way and they responded, “we have alot of fraud and don’t trust customers to return the products”. Well welcome to the world, everyone deals with fraud, unfortunately part of owning a company is making the customer happy and standing behind your product.
