I bought this to have more room in front of my recliner to use for many things like putting a few laptops, cell phones, notebooks, and eating while social media networking, and watching tv. All I need is a lamp to put on it. It was easy to put together just make sure the control cord is not under the bar when putting together, I didn't notice mine was until I had the top screwed down. I had to remove the screws on one end just to be able to pull the cord out from under neath that bar. It's easiest to put together on a bed than on the floor especially if your disabled like I am. Plugged it in and tested it and it ascended and descended smoothly and quietly. I love it. This desk is perfect for the disabled person because you can have it right in front of you while you sit in a recliner or even on a couch or wheel chair and have everything you need right in front of you so you don't have to get up to get things you use daily. I’m absolutely living for this as my first standing desk. It thought it was going to be too big for my small room but it’s perfect (55in). It wide enough for me to use my pen tablet as well. It also comes with two hooks which I didn’t realize I just have couple of nitpicks though. I wish it was one desktop instead of two pieces. Just make sure the dowels are pushed in as much as possible and you tighten the desk enough. Also the natural top color is darker than expected. And lastly the desk wobbles a bit when raised high even with all my heavy stuff on top of it. Just keep that in mind. Other than those little things, I love this desk and would buy another one if I could especially at the prices I got it for. I’ll update this review after a month or so of use. ... show more

I'm shocked at the quality of this desk. While it is not necessarily what you would expect from a $500 standing desk, it is very close. Building it was a breeze, the materials are all very impressive and it is shockingly quiet - even quieter than the $700 standing desk I have at work. The only note I have is that the wheels do not seem very sturdy and may need replaced with something a little bit more reliable. No problem, they are mounted on with threads and could be easily replaced. For the price, I could ask for nothing more. ... show more

Pros: Well packaged Easy but tedious to assemble (be patient) Good quality individual components - except for the particle board desk top, at least it has a thick veneer Motor works OOTB Nice little cable guides included with motor for the aesthetics Good design Cons: Mainly just one - the drawer, as you might've guessed from the amzn pic, but I accepted the risk as a challenge :D Low function versatility - I followed the instructions to assemble this desk to a T, and I noticed a slight bend at the center of the desk, where the two desk top panels are joined together by 4 evenly spaced mount plates and the fulcrum H legs and screws. This made my addition of the drawer cumbersome as it would slide out on its own without something to anchor/support it from the down slope. I would not put much more weight on the edge of it as is, and I'm skeptical how those mounting plates will hold up over time. Included fabric drawer is underwhelming for common intended use of a standing desk (low real estate on top even for 55 in, which begs for a keyboard drawer) If you want to modify this desk, ie add or replace drawer, spare yourself the time of external solutions (replacing the tabletop or adding Buttress/bolsters to legs) it worked for me by the skin of my teeth. I would go find another desk, unless you are somewhat handy and enjoy a challenge. 5 stars for my use, I find it to be an appropriate temporary solution. -1 star for the split panels on the table top, and possibly planned obsolescence there. ... show more

I bought a walking pad to put under it that hadn’t arrived yet. I had no issues putting this together by myself, just look at the directions carefully, use common sense and be patient. Took about 45 minutes to an hour to build it alone. Goes up and down smoothly and this is definitely my favorite purchase of the year! ... show more

The product was super easy to assemble & the instructions were very clear - with all parts labelled nicely. The allen wrench provided was used for basically most of the assembly, however there were some parts which required you to have a screwdriver, which unfortunately did not have handy - it would have been good to know in advance if certain tools were required. I also didn't like how the nails were screwed into the wood - there is a tiny hole to guide where it is meant to go, but you have to screw into the wood to affix it - I would have thought they would have come with screw holes, which would help to ensure all nails went in straight (luckily only one went in slightly crooked) and it would help to retain the integrity of the desk - I'm concerned now, should I move, am I able to disassemble the desk or will I have to move as is. ... show more

I had this desk in my wish list for a while, and finally decided to do a full home office makeover. I bought the 55 inch because of dual monitors, and I was surprised with how much room was left. I also keep my humidifier on here, my phone stand charger and my coffee warmer; there’s no worry about room or bumping something over. I was also surprised how sturdy it is even on the highest setting. The functionality is great. Easy to program, seamless transition from sitting to standing to back to sitting. If you have an extra person to help out it together, I recommend it, but I was able to put it together myself within 30-45 minutes with an electric drill. ... show more

The desk satisfied all my needs. I love the castors and the color of this desk. I took a bit of a risk buying this desk over competitors due to low reviews but I love it. The desktop can chip easily if you're not careful. During setup we missed 2 screws on the first step and had to troubleshoot shy it was so wobbly until we figured it out. It was easy enough to go back and fix our mistake. The motor is not covered under the desk which was kind of a surprise to me. It was quieter than a standing desk I used at a previous job.
