  • A pretty solid watch.
Color: M-BLUE
When I saw this watch, I really liked it's style, so I ordered it. I like how straightforward it is in appearance, stylish not plain, but not with excess flair and bells and whistles. In use, this watch again is pretty straightforward. Setting the time and date is easily done and starting/stopping the stopwatch sub faces is easy as well. I've owned a few watches and have always stuck with either cloth wrist bands that have hook and loops for clasping, or more recently, silicon wrist bands with a center pin clasp. The clasp on this watch's wrist band intrigues me! It was a bit frustrating to set the wrist band to my preference, and I struggled for a few days to clasp this watch onto my wrist. Yet, my intrigue carried me through the growing pains. Now, with this watch's wrist band clasp set into position and I've established muscle memory to put on and remove this watch, I REALLY like this watch's wrist band. I really appreciate the fact that the wrist band mechanically functions similar to a chain link wrist band, yet it does not pull hair at all. So, if I like this watch so much, why not five stars on the rating? This watch suffers from a quality defect I've seen in a few other lower priced watches. The crystal is not well formed, and is rippled at the top surface. I've had this in a few watches, but the other watches have been digital display, so the rippling is only aesthetic. But with this watch having an analog clock face, the rippling on the crystal can interfere with reading the watch's face. So, if you need a straightforward watch that will show the date, and if you like this watch's styling, it's worth considering. ... show more

  • Stylish Barebones Watch
Color: M-GREY
I say barebones because it’s just going to tell me the time and the date. I don’t have a use for all the extra chronograph functions … specially when it’s dark grey on grey and these boomer adjacent eyes of mine are not going to see what’s going on in there. Minimal set up from open to wearing. Just have to set the time using the handy microscopic print instructions provided. I don’t need jitterbug phone big print but I don’t want to have to run the instructions through an electron microscope either. You may have to adjust the strap fastener. Tiny screwdriver included for assistance with that. You won’t be unscrewing anything though, it’s just for leverage. Once set up the weight of the watch feels fine. Hands on the watch are easy to read. Haven’t worn a watch in a couple of years so getting used to that constant weight on my wrist again will take some time to get used to. I wouldn’t use this for outdoorsy types of activities. This doesn’t look like it can take a licking and keep on ticking (on time). But, if it’s just for a night out or for use at your office when you don’t always want to whip out your cellphone to see what time it is … it should be pretty good. Overall 4/5 stars. Loses points for tiny print instructions. No light button so if it’s dark … good luck. Not sure if the hands will glow in the dark as some other watches that I’ve owned that also didn’t come with a light up feature. I guess time will tell *see what I did there*. ... show more

  • Looks great, an OK watch but decent value
Color: M-GREY
I'm a sucker for a good looking watch. Sometimes I talk myself into a low cost (but attractive) watch and often re-gift it rather than keep and use it. This is a good example. It looks sharp! Comes in a really nice gift box, easy enough to set and use. Band is easy to adjust and comfortable... and as I said it looks super sharp. BUT.... its kinda thick. These watches tend to be a bit clunky and large and so would I use this as my daily wear? No. I'm spoiled when it comes to watches and so the oldest son got it the next day as a gift from me. Senior picture day and all that, but have low expectations as the chrono are hard to read or see (I'm 55) and I got grey on grey which means I have to put on readers to use it. And then there is the thickness of the watch itself. Sits too tall for me so .... lucky 17 year old gets the low cost but sharp quartz lux watch this fine day. ... show more

  • Looks Amazing & Stopwatch is Handy!
Color: A-BLUE
Ok, lemme get 1 bad thing & 1 mediocre thing out of the way: 1) Manual sucks. Lots of typos, poorly written, & confusing. 2) Hard to read in dim light (obviously can't be read in dark. No light or glow feature) Ok, with those out of the way, lemme dive into why I like this watch. The monochrome nature of the hands, face, and markers around the edges is sleek and sexy and surprisingly readable. Each reflects light well, so as you move your wrist slightly, the hands and markers glint, making it easy to see where they are at. BUT they don't reflect so brightly that they are irritating (nothing worst than gold or chrome reflecting sunlight and blinding you). The watch band itself is really strong and comfortable. The clasp is different than any I'd seen before. It isn't crazy different, but it's basically the difference between a single fridge door and a double french-door fridge. So it has 2 hinges that fold to the center of the clasp and lock into place. There is a slight button that protrudes from each side of the band, so you just pinch that to release the clasp. It's easy to take on and off and doesn't look as awkward as those other hinges I've had on other watches. I also wanted to highlight the tool they included for removing watch pins. A lot of the time you have to just use a tiny tool, smack it with a hammer, and get the pin out in a very clunky way. This vice tool lets you put the band in, screw the tool in and pop the pin right out. NOTE: since the manual sucks, don't try to follow its guide on how to do this. It shows a different method which is far worse. Just look up an online tutorial video for removing a link from a watch band WITH a watch pin vice. I normally hate dealing with watch pins, but the vice made it quite easy. Lastly, I wanted to call out the sizing. I'm 6'2", but for my size I have slightly skinnier than average wrists. I needed to remove 1 link from the watch strap (I tried 2, but it was just a bit too tight). So if you have quite thick wrists, this band may not fit you. If you have thin wrists, you should be fine (as I could have removed as many as 8 links). ... show more
