Called Crown Shades office number and advise them about a problem with my canopy. Told them I would be happy with any light color replacement. Once approved I got the replacement in days. This is important! Read everything before you buy. Those complaining about wind or rain damage; The description said it very clearly that type of damage is not covered. This is a nicely built inexpensive popup tent. I you are using for commercial purposes, go spend the money and buy a commercial popup. I use mine to build things for house and family and need to stay out of the sun. If there are heavy winds or rain, I am not going outside to work on anything. It is perfect for me. Takes a little more time, but I set my Crown Shades popup by myself and have no problem doing it. I am 78 years old and a towering 5'3" tall. For those that care: My popup was made in Vietnam. The product? Amazing. Durable. As described. LOVE IT! Customer service? Professional. Honest. Respectful. I purchased this item for my brother's Christmas present since he would use it for his kid's baseball games. I ordered it because Amazon said that it was guaranteed prior to a specific day and that was a game changer since I was going to be out of town and didn't want a big package sitting outside. When I actually placed the order the delivery date changed to the exact day I was going to be out. I thought it was a glitched and tried ordering again and canceling the previous one. I canceled and sent it to a family's address, but the delivery continued changing AFTER it processed purchase. I contacted the seller and explained, and they were AMAZING. UNDERSTANDING AND HELPFUL. When the return slip came back without a prepaid stamp I contacted them again. Again, AMAZING, UNDERSTANDING AND HELPFUL. Yes, I highly recommend them. This is the second Crown Shade I have purchsed and I appricate the improvements made to the design. This canopy performed superior in high winds! Of course I had fully steaked and tied to the ground (we used our own larger steaks not the ones that came from the manufacturer), and ensured all the velco attachments, etc where in place. Storm wind gusts exceeded 35mph in an open field. Becuase of the wind gussett at the top of this canopy, the wind wasn't able to get enough pressure to take off like a balloon and destroy itself. We watched the canopy lift-up, but then would fall back because of loss of air pessure in the canopy. After the storm the canopy had pulled up a few steaks and moved about a foot, but was otherwise fine. Thank goodness it had been initally steaked and tied down - but it was the wind gussett/vents at the top of the canopy that really saved the day. ... show more

This canopy has worked great. It's mostly stayed outside set up all day every day and night for the past 6 months. I tied down the 4 corners of the fabric cover to wooden posts and tensioned them using ratchet straps so it doesn't wiggle around at all in the wind. We've taken it down a couple times when weather predicted greater than 20mph winds. Haven't noticed any wear or damage to the tie down points yet, and I am able to set it up and take it down myself. ... show more

Wow! Protection from the summer sun and the rain! This is a good investment for me. I'm grateful that there were videos available on how to set it up, as they helped me a great deal. You don't have to be Doctor Octopus to set this up; I did so all by myself and it worked just fine. Two people would be nice, but not necessary. The instructions are really easy to understand, and there's a summary of the instructions on the storage bag that comes with it in case you forget something. I really enjoyed that. There are two plastic bullet-shaped tips attached to the bag (by canvas extensions) meant to keep the legs and the bag together during storage or moving, and it's really neat. One could easily forget how to store the tent in conjunction with the bag, so I just took a picture to remind myself. Yes, the tarp portion has to be installed on the frame. I've used this a couple times, and my main reason for purchasing it was for my trips to the beach. I took one on yesterday, and it worked just fine. Word of advice... putting the legs underneath sand without the metal stays that come with it (or the bags intended for weight distribution) is not a good idea. I was in the water, and I looked back and noticed that someone (the wind) moved the entire tent!! I was like "What?! WHO has the NERVE to MOVE my #$%@ after all my hard work?!" I got out and saw lines in the sand! LOL!!! Well, I proceeded to put the stays in each of the plastic ports, and it didn't move anymore. (= Even when it started to rain (at an angle), it still provided protection for me. But most important was shade from the sun. It's got a neat 'exhaust' port at the top that allows for circulation and ventilation, and that's better that the port is in place. Major likes: 1). Design 2). Color of the tent 3). Easy to assemble 4). Doesn't take up too much space Now... on to my gripes: 1). There are multiple small receptacles meant to fit around a cylindrical head to attach the tent to the frame. They stay in place, but when the wind was blowing yesterday, one kept coming off. I put it back in place when I was preparing to leave (and storing the tent back into its bag), but it kept being stubborn! The others were fine, and eventually, I found a way to keep it in its place. Those U-shaped receptacles are rubber/plastic (?) and not sturdy enough; they may eventually loosen over time. 2). This tent is an attractant for flies. I noticed it when I initially set it up... there were two flies in my rear patio (where I unboxed the item), and I NEVER get flies in there. I thought to myself 'Did these jokers come packaged with this tent?!' but then I thought it was just a coincidence. After the initial setup, I noticed there was another fly underneath the tent! "Okay. This is ridiculous." I advised the fly to leave before I stored the tent in the bed of my truck. Whether or not it did? I do not know. On yesterday at the beach, there were about 4-5 flies underneath the tent AGAIN! And it's always the small ones! My deduction? They're attracted to something underneath there, and it ain't me! LOL!!! XD 3). This tent could've been preassembled by the manufacturer. What gives?! Overall, it's a great investment. The wheels are awesome to be used, but only on a hard surface... I didn't even try to drag that thing through the sand cause it's not that light; I sat it up on my right shoulder and walked on through the sand. I worry about their longevity, though. Oh! The size of the tent! It's perfect! You can get it even taller if you'd like with the clamps that lock in place. I'm 6'6" and I did bump my head on the top portion of it, but I could've set it higher if I felt. The mechanism that locks it in place? Mwaa! Magnifico! Okay. That's it for me. I have a small business and do events about a dozen times a year. This tent has been a game changer for me! It has something in the center that lifts up and pops into place like magic! Then I slide each leg up one at a time -- halfway and then all the way and they just click into place. When I'm done with an event, I slide the legs halfway down, duck under the tent and click the button in the center to release the roof and the slide the legs the rest of the way down. It can nearly be done one handed it's so easy!! I have recommended this tent to dozens of other vendors because when they see how easy my tent is to set up and take down, they all want to know where I got it from! ... show more
