  • Crossfire Dual Tire Pressure Equalization System, 90 PSI, one per pkg. (CF90STABT)

Description

America's Leading Dual Tire Pressure Equalization System Saves You Time and Money. Dual tires have a set of problems all their own. In motion, the inner tire's temperature increases due to in-board brakes and poor air circulation. This causes increased air pressure, which expands the inner tire's diameter. As a result, the dual tire configuration is now distorted- the diameters are unequal. Crossfire is a pressure equalizing and monitoring valve that is mounted between dual tires. It bolts easily to the lug, hub cap, or drive axle end. Properly mounted, air freely flows from one tire to the other, maintaining equal tire pressure and load distribution. The Crossfire Dual Tire Pressure Equalization system: Maximizes tire life Decreases rolling resistance for increased fuel mileage Cuts maintenance time due to single-point inflation and the visual pressure gauge Improves stability, braking and overall safety Installs in minutes and requires little maintenance Pays for itself in less than a year American-made and guaranteed for two yearsThis Crossfire System is for ONE dual tire set and comes with:2 Stainless Steel Hoses, one with straight fitting and one with 180° fitting3 mounting bracket types:Bracket A: installed on the 5/8"" or 3/4"" drive axle bolts of both disc and spoke wheels. If the wheel has a hubcap, it can be snapped on over the bracket.Bracket B: mounts directly on the 1-1/4"" lug bolt.Bracket T: mounts on the 1/4"" bolt that secures the hub cap to either a disc or spoke wheel.

  • Well made and worked on my F450 with simulators!
I have a 2008 F450 with simulator wheel covers. Even though the company specifically states these are not made for wheels with simulators, I bought them anyway and figured I could make my own brackets if the ones that come with it wouldn't work. Installation on the first side took about an hour. To my delight, the supplied large bracket worked just fine. Most of the time was spent trying exactly where to position the outer wheel to get stem distances that would work for my specific installation (ended up being about 145° or two holes away). In my photo, the stems are indicated by red arrows with the rear stem being the left one. The only problem I ran into was that my simulators sit high at the hand holes. This meant the 180° fitting for the outer wheel wouldn't clear it. I carefully opened up the bend at the end of the hose enough to clear it (from 180° to about 135°) and it worked great - easy to open up with little force and no crimping or deformation of the tube. I'm guessing the tube is chrome or nickel over brass. The other side took about 15 minutes. Tightening the hoses to the stems was like building a ship in a bottle with a ½" wrench, or in my case, just like trying to air up the inner tire previously. I knew it was the last time I would have to stuff my hands in there so I was just fine. I'm looking forward to the safety and the convenience!! ... show more

  • Do not Buy...No Customer service
Do not buy!! Installed as instructed. Both units read 10 lbs. higher than actual pressure (measured by 2 known to be correct gauges. One unit had 15 lbs. per week air leak. I removed the suspected leaking unit and my air loss is about 1 psi. per 1-2 months which is normal. E-mailed, called Crossfire and have hade no response. ... show more

  • Feeling safer
We had purchased these for our 2005 Motorhome, but did not have them installed before we upgraded to a new motorhome. Camping World installed the Crossfires for us at no charge. Yay! Camping World in Springfield, MO--the best!

  • Metal braded lines will rub into and damage your aluminum rims
The metal braded lines will rub into and damage your aluminum rims. Other then that they are great. Consider the rubber model or 3\8 rubber hose over them!

  • Great support for the company.
The hook on the braided hose was too sharp for my RV wheels. I called the Dual Dynamic guys and they were great. Apparently the hook has options. Should have purchased from the their website. They sent me two hoses with 90 degree hooks which should work. Unfortunately installing these with the Wheel Master covers will require modifying the mounting bracket. I'll also have to remove the outer tire. Not a fun thing. ... show more
