Description

In motion, the inner tire's temperature increases due to in-board brakes and poor air circulation. This causes increased air pressure, which expands the inner tire's diameter. As a result, the dual tire configuration is now distorted- the diameters are unequal. Crossfire is a pressure equalizing and monitoring valve that is mounted between dual tires. It bolts easily to the lug, hub cap, or drive axle end. Great product, but the seller ticked me off when I ordered 4 of the 110psi and they sent 3 -110psi and 1- 105psi. If they were low on stock, just say that. Don’t send me an item I didn’t order. I installed 3 and swapped the other out with Iowa 80. They were nice enough to give me the proper part even though they were not the seller I bought from. I probably will just buy from places like Iowa 80, at least there I am picking the parts and getting what I asked for… worth the extra money I guess.🤷🏻♂️ ... show more

    • Helpful device. I will purchase one for all my dual wheels after this trial.
The installation was easy and the product just works. I installed both sides in about 30 minutes. If you use the included brackets you must have way to remove a lug nut to secure the mounting. I installed on a Motorhome with chrome hub covers so I drilled a hole in the cover to install the product. There are two features that I really like. First, I can tell at a glance if the tire pressure is correct during my pre trip walk around. The unit face is a uniform color and there is even a line across the indicator at the exact pressure. I found this line to match the calibrated pressure gauge I use. The other great thing about the product is the ease of filling the tires. Duals are always a problem because the stem is always in an awkward position and you have to get in the dirt to inflate the tire. With this device installed the fill stem sticks directly outward near the hub. Filling is easier than most automotive tires. Finally, while I can not be sure it was the crossfire unit, I did get slightly better fuel economy on my most recent trip of 500 miles. Unfortunately, I did other things that may have increased mileage so I can not be sure (Aligned the front end, Increased inflation pressure, etc) One final note. I have a valve stem tire pressure monitoring system and it works just fine connected to the fill stem on the Crossfire. The dash display just shows a single tire in that position., ... show more

Seems to work well but it’s getting moisture in the glass eye making it hard to see the color. This is after only 3 months having them on truck.

Bought new tires which run at a few pounds less than the old ones so had to buy new Crossfires. The other set were 8 years old. I'm close to 10 times that so checking and adjusting dual read tires on an RV is now a chore - except with Crossfires. One glance and I can see what condition the tires are in. Don't even put these in the same sentence with the cheap junk sold in RV stores and outlets. These are heavy duty professional quality devices and I have had no issues with previous pair and expect none with these. ... show more
