It is a wonderful device & may be the only paddle extender made, BUT it doesn't fit all kayak paddles. I needed to drill two extra holes (one on my paddle and one on the extender to make it work for my needs. Without the extra holes, my paddle was nearly 254 cm (much too long). My other paddles are 230 cm. After drilling extra holes, the extended paddle is close to 230 cm. I recommend the manufacturer add more holes to make it a bit more adjustable. ... show more

This fits only one of the three standard kayak paddles that we use. Try to be sure of your shaft diameter unless you have a Kohls really close by.

I paddle a West Marine Abaco 13.5 solo most of the time unless I take the kid out with me. (rare) I felt like my paddle was too short, mind you, my kayak is pretty wide. So I went and bought a custom paddle, 260mm, and then I saw this. I had to try it. See images for results - but I cant stress it enough - that is a lot of paddle now - and it was cheap - Also see images for answers about tube diameter, I noticed a distinct lack of that information here on Amazon (but I did find it on Crooked Creek's website). ... show more
