I got the set so I could use the red, white, and black. However, I am new to the craft, so I used the gold to add a simple vinyl to my cricut explore 2. I had no problems with getting the vinyl out of the tube, transferring it over to the cricut, or anything, it was a seamless first vinyl project. Tonight I decided it was time to do the project I got the cricut for. I tried to get the white, black, and red out of their tubes and it was horrible. There are marks on the vinyl where it stuck to the plastic tube, I had to yank it out of the tube to get any of it, so there are wrinkles and creases in the vinyl now. It is close to unuseable. I'm not sure why but with this project the transfer tape didn't work as well either. Overall it was an unpleasant craft moment. Made me wonder if people were right, and I should have not worked with cricut material to begin with. I've got some tubes coming from Cricut directly and I have the silver tube unopened and purchased a separate pink sparkle vinyl, so I will see if it is a problem with all cricut packaging or if it's just this set. ... show more

Good starter kit for new cricut users! Gives you a variety of colors for what you pay. This is what I got when first beginning to purchase vinyl for my cricut machine. My only con is that some of the plastic that hold the rolls came broken or damaged.

This was sent as a gift. She loved the colors, easy to work with. She made decals and put on smooth surface bottles, when she tried to put the sleeve on the bottle decals peeled off. So, if she doesn't use the sleeves its great. Needs additional adhesive.

I used the white color to start with, I had some issues with weeding but I was doing small lettering, otherwise it weeds nicely and it sticks to most surfaces nicely. I also made some house numbers but I stuck those to a kind of rough surface so it was a little more difficult to stick, but they look really great regardless. I'm very pleased with the outcome.
