Did the research and ordered this one with the expectation of being one of the folks who would have an unpleasant experience with this machine. Happily, so far, this unit is outstanding! Have used this thing multiple times since having it and it does a phenomenal job. Even through in some fairly old, gummed up, and oily saw chains, all of which came out looking new. As far as the noise level of the machine, I am admittedly a little hard of hearing, but this this machine seems to be less noisy than my older HF unit. Can you hear it run?     • It's noisy
Size: 2L
It's pretty small, I thought it would be bigger. It's straight forward and easy to use. It takes a while to get up to temperature and then continues to get warmer. It gets the items clean. It works wonders on my glasses. But it is very noisy and I'm not thrilled with that.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this to clean my plastic retainers. They were grimey and I honestly didn’t have high hopes but this actually cleaned very well. I popped in a cleaning tablet and set it for 3 minutes and the retainer looked almost brand new. I like that it has a UV feature as well although I can’t comment on the effectiveness since the light automatically turns off when you lift the lid. ... show more

    • Works fine and cleans well but the tank is not 100% stainless steel

I was always borrowing my friends Ultrasonic cleaner when I had small parts to clean. Finally I took the plunge and bought my own. When the box arrived the "This side up was pointed down" (I guess the delivery person either was illiterate or just didn't care). The cleaner rattled with loose parts inside. Good grief. Instead of immediately returning it I removed the bottom panel to find several of the screws which held the PC board out of their holes and lying loose. I searched and found all of the nuts and spacers, as some were lodged between the board and the frame. Thank goodness I didn't plug it in or I'm sure it would have shorted out. Anyway I installed all of the spacers, screws, washers and nuts and the cleaner worked perfectly. All four transducers create turbulence and items come out clean. One nit-pick though, the drain fitting in the tank rusted so it is apparently chrome plated steel, not stainless steel, so drain and dry the tank completely when not in use. ... show more

    • Internal electronics are not up to the task

I hate to leave a bad review, but I want to save other people some money. When this machine works, it's a fine unit. But the internal electronics are not up to the task. The machine goes through fuses like crazy. I had problems with my first unit and corresponded with the company, as well as bought a large supply of spare fuses. The company was nice enough to send a replacement, and I appreciate that. But the second unit is no better. Last night I got the unit out of hibernation and was able to run one cycle of the machine to do the first step in cleaning a bicycle chain. It worked fine for the first chemical. But since then, I have gone through a dozen fuses and it just won't work. Now I have a half-cleaned bicycle chain, a dead unit, and an empty box of fuses. I'll be looking for a much better-quality unit to replace this one. ... show more
