    • Good for shellac
Works for finishing small projects. Doesn't shed much. No need to clean, just pre-soak it in the shellac next time and it softens up.

    • bristles lost
I used the brush for applying shellac, that had been thinned. Lost a bunch of bristles. Saw a trick on YouTube. Place crazy glue along the top of the bristles, were they contact the wood handle, on both sides. Then take a small sharp object and work the glue into the bristles. Let dry. Brushes did a great job. I have been using the 1 inch Hake brushes for glazing and underglazing on pottery since June 2022. The soft hair picks up the paint well and applying to greenware and bisque ware is excellent. Minimal hair shedding but I use them gently and wash carefully. I have a set for each type of glaze (glaze, UG and matte). Works great and very good value for money. ... show more

These brushes are great! I bought some other hake brushes on Amazon and they are just ok. Needed some thinner ones, so I bought these. They are much softer, hold more glaze(I use them for glazing pottery), and don’t lose bristles like the others I bought. Highly recommend. Second purchase of cheap chinese goat hair brushes ... obviously very bad quality control because these brushes stink like a goat's rear end ... and it won't go away despite my cleaning efforts. I've tried vinegar, pet stain carpet cleaner, washed and aired and washed and aired ... OUTSIDE, of course, because these stink too much to have in a home or a class. Not a fan. ... show more
