  • Jewelry
The photographs in this book are exceptional. The clarity of the photos are so clear. Every segment of the bracelets and other pieces are wonderful. The instructions were clear and concise. Very easy to follow. A little sceptical about making some of the jewelry because of copyright laws. The magazine was delivered faster than I expected. ... show more

  • A beautiful book that is both a work of art and a how to for learning how to create beautiful jewelry.
Creative Beaded Jewelry is a beautiful book containing color photos of Carolyn's creations, as well as easy to read and understand directions for creating those same beautiful pieces. If you enjoy beading and jewelry making or have ever considered trying the art, you owe it to yourself to get this book. I like that Caroline not only explains the tools of her trade and lists the supplies you need for each project but she guides you with easy to follow step by step directions. I can't wait to complete each of the 33pieces in the book. ... show more

  • Fantastic range of projects
Fantastic projects that showcase a real range of techniques. I really liked how Schulz drew from different cultures rather than focusing on one or two. I was inspired to put my own twist on the projects. My only complaint is the design image for the Black and Copper Necklace - I could see the bead layout easily but the annotations were too small to read even on the Kindle Cloud and I couldn't enhance the resolution. ... show more

  • A bit disappointed
I have no clue what I was expecting, but I felt a bit disappointed when I opened it up. Even though I haven't been designing very long I already know all but one item in this book and I didn't have to pay for a book to learn them. That is kind of sad considering I have only been at this for 7 months. I was hoping for new ideas I haven't seen on YouTube or Pinterest, but these styles can be found online at diy website everywhere for free. I did like that the author tells you what items she used in each piece and where to get them and the images are very nicely detailed so you are clear on what it should look like when you're done. For someone just starting out, this is a good book for the price, I paid a little over 8 bucks for it on Amazon. Do keep in mind since you don’t have step by step images you may have on on YouTube or Pinterest to find out how to do some of the steps. I also suggest if you are going to buy these items to make something to go on Etsy first because I find the prices are way lower there than online retailers. ... show more
