The media could not be loaded. it has power works good need to change a few setting in light burn if you use that software. light burn will connect with ender 3 s1 pro. also need to adjust the power settings from 255 to 1000 to get full power! in the pictures is what i got the laser to work at. the video is in slow motion.haven't really used the creality software to do any lasering yet its very limited. i would like to see air assist added to the laser that would make this laser awesome. the wood i etched is the 2mm test wood it comes with ... show more

Easy to install but needs to update links with more recent firmware version, videos and manual points to a version that is not availbale on the website. Engrave and print files are not read by printer through SD card, I can only print using a USB cable connected to a PC, however this option is not available when using engraving app so I cannot engrave. I have contacted service support, waiting for their response, after that I will update this review. ... show more

The first laser I received didn't work right out of the box. The replacement laser was used twice, and once again the laser won't turn on. When it worked, it would engrave nicely, but I can honestly say I'll never buy another Creality product again

The media could not be loaded. This Creality laser attachment for the E3S1 was a breeze to install and setup. I don’t think it took more than 10 minutes after skimming through their video and glancing over the included printed manual. I’ve never used a laser engraver prior to this and was a little intimidated with setup, but there really wasn’t any difficult setup at all! Updating the firmware specific to your S1/ S1 pro’s motherboard and display are all that’s needed. The physical hardware is just done by removing the extruder and installing the mounting plate for the laser, which is then secured by two set screws located on the side. There’s only one long cable to plug in one of the rear ports and that completes the hardware install. Installing the specific slicer found on Creality’s website took some digging, but learning to use it and figuring out the interface took less than 5 minutes. Using the laser attachment really produces some fumes! I tested this in the house and had to get fans to pull air out of the house because it turned my entire house into a campsite with the smell of firewood, as the laser was sintering away. Recommend to do this outside somewhere with proper ventilation. The carbon filter didn’t filter the smell out, but probably filtered the smoke. The fan is loud on this, so if you thought the extruder fans were loud, this is 3 times louder even at idle. Actually there only seems to be one speed during operation. Not a bad buy for such easy setup for around $80. The setup still uses homing and z-offset to setup, but there’s no actual calibration for how level the bed needs to be. The laser engraver works just fine with the piece of wood it came with and it had about 2mm deflection/ warpage. There are included magnetic strips to help locate and hold the workpiece in position. This unit also looks like it can only be used for the the Ender 3 S1 series of printers, unless I can figure how to setup firmware to be used on other printers. The laser might have found itself a permanent home, while I install the Sprite extruder onto another printer. ... show more

It did take some figuring out at first, but its a fun module to play around with. Its not as powerful as the laser diode that you'll find on a typical laser engraver machine, but its enough to make detailed engraving into wood and other materials. Love how easy it was to install! Swapping out the hotend with the laser module takes no time at all. Which is good, since you'll need that time to figure out your settings :) ... show more

I held off installing this and now regret it, actually having a ton of fun. Ability to swap out my nozzle setup for this is really simple and easy. While targeting Ender systems as long as your printer is 24v and you have a cando attitude you can install this on it. I have used it on my ender 5, cetus, ender 3 pro, all have some basic mods to them but were easy to work with. ... show more

I'm excited to install this and play with it. Although this is a Creality and marketed for a newer Ender Printers, it is very nicely packaged in a retail box. With little effort there are many 24v printers this will work on. I'm looking to install it on a BIQU B1 SE Plus or even a different Ender 3. If you use it on the intended printer, the instructions are clear and the setup is mush easier. There are several options to use the laser engraver.You can remove the hot end and mount the laser as the instructions show or if you have a steel housing you can mount it on the hot end strong magnets. There are even quick tool mounts you could print to enable easier swapping of the hot end with the laser. On the intended printer there is an "options" port to plug it into and if the firmware is up to date the menu on the printer will allow you to select engraving. But if you intend to use another printer you would unplug the hot ends fan that you remove and this just plugs into the 24v fan control. There are several software tools to create the G code to engrave. After creating a G code file, which is void of Z movements, and select that file to print. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more
