  • It’s Crayola of course it’s great
Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
The large pack of color pencils was great for coloring. They are very durable and last without the dreaded breaking some pencils have. They blend well and are large enough for an adult hand. The performance in coloring leaves a silky smooth looking project!

  • Perform Like More Expensive Pencils
Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
I own most of the pencils produced, from Holbein and Lumenence to Colleen, Sudee Stile and Deli (Polychromos look-a-likes) and most of those in between. These pencils are by far the best budget pencil out there, not just because of the low price, but because of the way they perform. The pack I received didn't have any duplicate colors. The down side of this purchase was the shipping. I purchased directly from Amazon and they shipped by putting it in an oversized bubble mailer. The package is not taped closed so all the pencils had exited the box by the time they got to me. None were damaged but dang, no one wants that. If the flaps on the box had been taped or the mailer folded over more snugly that wouldn't have happened. I suggest buying these at a store if this is a huge problem for you. I highly recommend these for anyone just getting into coloring books and even the more seasoned colorist too. They would complement Polychromos, Lyra Polycolor, and Marco Renoir pencils nicely. Pro: Hard pencil that holds a point extremely well, but doesn't require a lot of pressure to get color on the paper. They allow for a few layers and will blend well enough (key to blending is light layers, no hard edge). Beautiful colors. Con: You cannot get as many layers as the more expensive pencils like Lyra, Prismacolor, Polychromos.... There aren't enough dark versions of colors and not many greys at all. One pencil was not marked with a name. I believe that was just a fluke though and figuring it out wasn't much of a chore. I chose this illustration, from Zemlja Snova, to test these pencils. For the record, some areas have 6-7 layers, and I never did experience any bloom. Also, the black really does a nice job of darkening colors without making them dull or muddy. I haven't been getting good light lately and so my photo doesn't do the finished work justice- some color loss and gradient isn't as strong. However, I think you can see the shading and blending fairly well. ... show more

  • A perfectly fine box of pencils
Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
Before buying this product I read so many reviews where people wrote that pencils were broken, missing, used, falling out of the box or otherwise in bad shape. This is why I find it very important to write a review myself after my package has now arrived and I had a chance to look at and try out my new pencils. I have bought the 100 different colors box. This box does not contain any metallics, like gold or silver. It is clearly stated however, I feel like saying it again as some people still seem to expect these colors to be present. I received a perfectly fine box with all pencils present and intact. To me it does not seem as if the box was opened or used before. The box was sealed with a stripe of tape, so no pencils would fall out either. I have started coloring with the pencils and they perform as expected, i.e. they put color on a paper. Of course, these are not 'high end' pencils, but you are not paying for that, so this should be obvious. I am a happy customer with a big box of pencils. ... show more

  • Great coloring pencils
Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
I’ve used these before. I ordered them online this time and they are pretty good. Only a couple leads were chipped, the pink and black ones as shown in the picture. But for the minimal packaging (pencil box put into the paper bag packaging), that is awesome. No broken or split pencils. Just sharpen them and you’re good to go. Every pencil is there, and I’m pretty sure they are all their own individual colors. I bought these for $16 which would be their standard price. Some other websites even have it for $20+. I think that for the amount of pencils you’re given and their heights, the longevity matches up. I’m also all about the recycled wood used to manufacture them. If you’re an artist or you like having color in your notes, I’d recommend. These would last you a while. Also these smell great. I’ll update once I start sharpening these or if I encounter anything new. ... show more

  • Smooth Writing Colors, Lots of Colorful Warped & Broken Tipped Pencils: Super Slow Shipping Too
Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
There were a lot of slightly warped and broken tips and innards that came in my pencil Set - 15% or more at this writing. The box is flimsy, and there's no real reference that I could discern- though, the pencils do write very smoothly. The order took approximately a month to arrive, packaged with heavier items, which is probably why I'm having to write this less than stellar review. The Box is frustrating, and doesn't come with a pencil sharpener built in, so I dusted off my battery operated pencil sharpener and got to work. Halfway into making a color reference chart and numbering the pencils, the box tips over. I easily spent a couple of hours trying to eyeball the varying shades without a number reference and getting them back into some semblance of proper gradients: Note: After several hours, I created a Color Reference Chart and building a stand / holder for the colored pencils. That's when I noticed, when the pencils sit in the stand or roll them on the table, they are wobbly. At first I thought, 15 cents a pencil seemed like a good value now I'm scratching my head instead of scratching paper with pencil. I haven't even drawn anything, yet with this Crayola 100 pencil set, and I was asked, by my wife "Why are there so many short pencils in the stand already?" My response was ", it's because the leads are broken inside the pencil's barrel." It becomes obvious: Hobbies can be such a drain of time and money. I guess when You're a child, it doesn't matter much; you just keep carrying / coloring on. As an adult, it's funny how you notice these things. I'm still trying to get the matter sorted out figuratively & literally. I'm looking forward to getting back to having some fun again. ... show more
