So for a homeowner that uses this every now and again it’s a good product. If I was a professional I might go with a brushless one. But I do like it and it works. The reason for the 3 star review, is the first one I ordered was missing the bolt for the attachment release lever, so I had to return it and then reorder it, and the price went up in a matter of a day so not only did I have to return the one, I had to pay more to get one that wasn’t missing a part. This tool has worked great during demo of an old RV and used it to cut metal drawer slides instead of a hacksaw. Comes with wood and wood/metal combo blades. Battery seems to last a long time between charges...never actually had it run out before charging again. First one I ever owned but seems a bit heavy...probably due to the high battery capacity. ... show more

I used it to cut down Amazon shipping cartons for recycling. It's better than a box cutter, but unpleasantly noisy with heavy vibration. I'm using it with a hook knife attachment. I'll continue to use it, but only for short periods. Seems well made and worth the cost. Nice that it comes with a battery as most battery tools do not include the high cost item. ... show more

So far the only complaint I have is the quality odd the wood saw blade. I used only once, need to replace.
