7 year old: I liked how we could use some of the trash to put inside our orbs to make a robot. I used the two slinkies to make a worm alien. At the end of the antenas I put stingers! I rate this 4 out 5 stars because it didn't come with instructions. Parent: Obviously not having instructions didn't end up being a problem in the long run, I just would have liked clarification in the description that there were no directions included on how to make what is shown on the box. My son and I tend to be rule followers. Regardless, we ended up making a bunch of alien creatures. They are adorable and it kept us busy for probably two hours. He's excited to play with them, and I'm excited that we didn't have to use glue. We did everything with what was int he kit, and some child safe scissors. Super creative, super fan. 2 stars- cute packaging, cute ideas. Some much was missing from this little craft kit. Missing the 9 Half pompoms, all 9 3 (colors of Mythical Manes, 2 caldron stirrers, all Spooky Eyes(25), all 12 magic wands , all Buried Treasure, all the sequins unless the Incandation ingredients count as sequins. Very disappointing that quality control was not better. Many Kids Made Modern kits look like they at really fun but I question the company. Since this was to be a birthdaygift this weekend, Iโ€™ll have to go to Michaels and make my own. Not convenient during covid conditions Update: company was contacted and theyโ€™ve shipped a new one within a day. Satisfied with CS response . Hopefully, new. Kit will be complete ... show more

I think this is a really cute set for creative girls. It has pompoms, glitter (Ugh) and other decorations to make characters to help tell your stories. Well, my six year old wasn't entirely capable of making pipe cleaner projects. Just because she didn't have complete instructions for how to create a kitty or unicorn other than to guess how the pictures were done. It's a fun craft. But it says to use hot glue so if you get it for kids under 9 be prepared to be doing g all the glue. I let them choose the items I put the glue down and then they put the decoration on... the glue scared my littlest one so she picked everything out and then I basically did all the work. It provided entertainment for hours decorating whatever recyclable material she could get her hands on and some school projects (using our own glue and kids scissors of course).
