Been using this for a couple months or so and at first it was very quiet, but now is a bit noisier. Works fine, makes ice quickly. It's very small, so only makes enough ice for about 2 16oz glasses, which is fine for me. A bit of annoyance is when the basket is full, the light goes on and it won't make any more ice until it either melts below the sensor or I push the ice down into the basket. I think the sensor is a bit too sensitive as if there is even a tiny bit of ice in the sensor, it stops making ice leaving you with a bunch of half melted slushy ice bits. I always have to keep an eye on the water level, though as I go through a lot of ice and have to refill it at least twice a day. It has an indicator light for when it needs refilling, however I've only seen it light up once. The only way I know to refill (between times i check it) it is when it makes a whiney noise. The water level is very low, and the light should come on, but it doesn't. Does the water level need to be so low that the water pump starts overheating and seizing up before it'll light up? Maybe the one i have is defective? 🤔 I'll keep using it despite all the above, I just think there is room for improvement in its functioning. ... show more

I got this for my mom for Christmas and I think I use it more than she does. The ice is the perfect pebble ice. The ice is made super fast and set up was not hard at all. Sit perfectly on countertop and doesn't take up a lot of space.

This definitely has some pros and cons. It’s super easy to set up and use. It’s pretty fast. You get 9 ice bullets about every 9 min. I would recommend transferring the ice bullets to an ice bucket in the freezer as soon as they drop because they do stay pretty wet. I just throw them in the ice bucket then when I would add the next round I would take the ice scoop and move them around and get them unstuck. It actually worked great by the time my ice bucket was full the cubes would be fully frozen and not stuck together because I kept using the scoop to keep them broke apart. I seen some people complain about them sticking into a clump but what I did seemed to prevent that. Yes that part is kind of a pain but I figured I would just run it on a day I was just hanging around the house so, I could tend to it each time the ice fell. It took about 3 & 1/2 hours To fill up the ice bucket which is about 12” long maybe 5”wide and a good 7 “ tall. So, I don’t think that is a horrible amount of time to take. I will say at about the 2 & 1/2 hour mark it shut off which I am sure is probably some kind of safety feature. I turned it right back on and it finished up with no issues. The only downside is they are pretty small hollow bullets. If I had it to do over I don’t know that I would buy it again just because of the size of the ice because you can get like 8 stackable ice cube trays and fill up two ice buckets in about 4-6 hours. So, for me it wasn’t necessarily the best route to go when your fridge ice maker breaks. It was just something cool and fancy that I thought would be cool to try. I will definitely use it since I bought it though. I did like the idea that someone mentioned about using coffee to make coffee ice bullets to make there iced coffee drinks. It does say to only use water in the machine but you would think plane coffee that was cooled would not be an issue since you aren’t adding any sugars or anything. But I don’t know we will see if I am willing to attempt that. ... show more
