This COWSAR Ice Maker has been quite a happy lifesaver for me. I NEED ice in my water, and I drink a LOT of water. It makes a gentle humming sound. The noisiest part about this machine is when it expels the ice into the basket. Only one issue: To transfer the ice from the ice maker to the freezer, unless you transfer it after every other cycle, it may begin melting and might just create a small iceberg. If this happens to you, I suggest a clean hammer to break it apart. Other than that, I recommend it highly. Even my neighbor is buying one for her sister! ... show more

Our fridge ice maker never seems to keep up so I purchased this one to make sure we always have ice. It does put out a lot of ice and it is impressive how quickly it makes it. My only complaint is that the ice is very wet so use a small tray lines with paper towels and dump my ice into that first to dry it before transferring it to the freezer to help prevent it from freezing into a giant clump. I also noticed that if you don’t dump it every couple of hours the ice on the bottom starts to melt so something to keep in mind. The basket that catches the ice and the scoop for it is pretty small so it is hard to scoop it directly from the machine. We use filtered water to refill it and outside if these little things it has worked very well. It is a little loud (sounds like a fan running) but I only notice it when it’s quiet and in the kitchen. ... show more

A friend recommended this ice maker since our icemaker can't be hooked up and I was running to 7-Eleven to buy ice all the time. Now, this cute little machine starts making cute little ice cubes in about 6 mins. It's perfect for the amount of ice I use on a daily basis. I forgot to submit a review, this is small but perfect for me and my husband it makes ice pretty quickly and is sufficient for our home, we've had parties and ice is available between guest!
