My previous favorite foundation is no longer made, of course, so I had to find a new one. I wasn't happy about going back to a liquid foundation because I got used to the great coverage of my former solid. I also was confused about this being a tinted sunscreen v. a foundation. But it's almost as good as my previous foundation! Impressive. It is lightweight and I only need a tiny dot for each section of my face. It covers my pores, blends well, and dries to a slightly matte finish. Now, the instructions on the bottle are very confusing because it says to apply liberally every couple hours as if it were a simple sunscreen. I cannot imagine doing that! This is definitely a good-coverage foundation and, like I said, I only need a tiny dot (the head of a pin) to achieve excellent makeup-quality coverage. I ordered this foundation recently based on other reviews and I really like it. I used Covergirl products a lot in my youth but switched to mineral powder foundation in my 30s (thanks to those persuading infomercials) which I loved at the time (except the price). When I started to develop fine lines around my eyes I found the mineral powder foundation settled into them and made me look older. (I'm now mid 40s). This foundation provides a medium to full coverage (depending on amount used) which I like but still looks natural. It is very creamy, feels light, and does not settle into my fine lines. It doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup. I ordered two shades, soft honey and classic ivory (based on what was available on Amazon at the time) and blend the two to match my skin tone, which it does perfectly. I saw online that when trying to decide between a lighter or darker foundation to go with the darker one so I figured I could experiment with what works best for me. The classic ivory alone would be too light for my light to medium skin tone. The two blend perfectly with my skin tone and there are no "orange-ish" (aka oompa loompa) tones whatsoever. If you're unsure about the shades, I recommend going to the Covergirl website, the shades displayed there seem to show the true color more than on Amazon. I also like the bottle, how it dispenses the product and being able to see how much is left. I use Covergirl Advanced Radiance pressed powder sparingly to set it. It lasts all day with maybe a light touch up with powder occasionally. It does not leave a makeup residue when using my phone, yet washes off easily. Will continue using this product. UPDATE: 9/17/2014 I just wanted to add to my 5 star review of this product. I just now opened a second bottle of this Covergirl foundation. I purchased my 1st bottle in April and to just now be on my second bottle, I am SO IMPRESSED that the product lasted me that long and I wear makeup every single day. I'm still on my 1st bottle of the darker foundation that I purchased at the same time (I mix with the lighter color). I bought my second bottle at Walmart as it was cheaper, but still what a great buy to have a product that delivers quality and value. ... show more

I had tried this years ago, and recently decided to try it again. I’m glad I did because they have expanded the color range, and this new one matches way better than before. It goes on real smooth and does not irritate my skin. I am happy with it.

*** UPDATE: I gave the bottle to one of my coworkers and she said she loves this foundation. While it made me break out, she didn’t have a problem. She asked for another bottle for her birthday. I raised the review from one star to three. I have no idea why there are so many great reviews on this foundation. This stuff completely settles into all the creases and wrinkles, and makes the pores look huge! Not to mention, it made my skin super oily after an hour and didn’t stay put at all. I accidentally rubbed my nose and it came off like I took a wipe to it. That doesn’t happen with my normal foundation. It also made me break out ridiculously and has very little coverage. It’s more like a CC Cream than a foundation. I do not recommend this product at all. ... show more
