  • Smooth and flavorful
Style: Whole Bean Flavor Name: Colombian Supremo Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I’m a coffee guy. I’ve been a coffee guy for many decades. I used to drink that one coffee that everyone drinks but, not everyone likes. Some people say, “ It tastes like they over roasted it.” Some say it tastes burnt. I was kind of middle of the road on whether I liked it or, was just caught up in the trend. So, I decided to venture into the rabbit hole of Google and explore coffee. I knew what I liked, knew what I didn’t. I tried a “Hawaiian” type.’it turned out that it was only 10% Hawaiian. But, it was Arabica. I really liked it until I saw it in my local grocery store. The Volcanica brand was listed as a great brand! So, I tried the Brazilian Peaberry. It was a little too harsh and, a tad bitter. Finally decided to try the Colombian Supremo. It is everything I have been looking for in a coffee. Smooth and easy to drink. Full body but not too strong. It’s an every day coffee for me! ... show more

  • a bit pricey but good
Style: Whole Bean Flavor Name: Low Acid Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Due to ongoing bladder issues, I try to drink low acid coffee. This stuff is pretty good. Purchased whole bean and my husband, a coffee lover, likes the taste of this coffee. A bit pricey...

  • Phenomenal coffee!
Style: Whole Bean Flavor Name: Ethiopia Sidamo Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
After using K-cups for years, I got to thinking about how much easier it would be to make one pot of coffee in the morning and sharing it. So, I read an article on the best tasting coffees around the world. The man who wrote it had all these "coffee preparations" that I thought, wow, I just carried a plastic pour over and some filters when I traveled for a living, this guy was SERIOUS about his coffee. So, I ordered the coffee and resurrected the coffee grinder from its storage shelf! I was shocked at the aroma of the beans as they were being ground. I put the pot on and went to my bedroom on the other end of the house, I noticed that I could smell the coffee brewing all the way at the other end of my house! The directions state do not leave it on a warmer more than 20 minutes, so I sat a timer and believe me I poured a second cup when I went back. This coffee is smooth, velvety and tasted better than I remembered when I used to work from home and traveled all over the United States for my job. If there is one thing that I hated about traveling, it was the hot brown water that hotels call coffee, I would bring my own to breakfast in the mornings. If you like a coffee that is never bitter, very smooth, and even tastes good cold, this is the one for you! Enjoy it! You will come back and thank me! ... show more

  • First bag great, second bag blah
Style: Whole Bean Flavor Name: Panama Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
The first time I tried the Volcanica Panama coffee, I was thrilled with the complex, smooth flavor and full body, close to the flavor I experienced on a recent trip to Boquete. The aroma when I first opened that bag was intoxicting, so I purchased two more bags. However, the second bag smells like nothing - not even grocery store coffee - and the flavor of the fresh-ground and brewed coffee was meh. I hope the third bag has the quality of the first. If not, I don't think I'll be purchasing this again. ... show more

  • Slight Fruity Notes

Good coffee, a little too fruity for me. Coffee was very fresh when received and beans were dry.

  • Wow. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
Style: Whole Bean Flavor Name: Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Coffee is coffee is what I’ve been told. I’ve had lots of and I’ve been grateful for them. Some from the grocery store and some from fancy restaurants. What I’ve learned is, taste is in the mouth of the taster. For me, this coffee was a wow moment. I love the way the bag opens and once I did the aroma was so intriguing, so different than the norm, I had to brew a pot, even though it was past my daily caffeine time. I cleaned my grinder, I ground the beans which filled my place with its aroma and then I began the brew. For this first time I understood what a coffee bloom is. You can see the bloom grow in the photos. As it brewed the aroma was intoxicating. I even got out my favorite coffee cup. The flavor is complex and different from anything I’ve tried. The amber color enticed me to drink it. It may not be everyone’s cup of coffee, but for me, from the first sip I wanted more. I can’t wait to try others. Also I spent some time on Volcánica’s website where they have info on all the regions they source their coffee from. Just terrific. Bottoms up. A+ ... show more
