We bought a Little Giant some time ago, and loved it. Thinking that would be the ladder to end all ladders. But the Little giant is somewhat heavy, and so we looked at this Cosco ladder, first attracted to it by the top handle. Turns out that that handle is very useful for safety and convenience. It is light and we can use it to reach all the cabinets in our kitchen. We bought one for our daughter-in-law who complained that their ladder is heavy, and confined to the garage, and dusty. So now she, like us, keeps the Cosco ladder inside our 2-storey houses. And the Little Giant? It is like a retired 4-star general, to be recalled for Special Ops whenever needed. ... show more

Best step ladder out there!! I'm 5'1" & I can reach the smoke detectors with this to change batteries etc!! It is VERY light weight and easy to carry around with you, whether you're projecting, doing windows, changing light bulbs, all that fun stuff!! It's my new best friend when my 6'1" husband isn't around to do that sort of stuff!! MUCH better than our old wooden triangle ladder & easier to access!! It stays in my kitchen between the wall & trash can!! About 3"-4" of space max is all you need to slide this in & store it! ... show more

I have purchased several ladders and step stools trying to find something that is easy to use around my house. Several rooms here have ten foot ceilings so I need something to give me a good lift to reach the ceiling lamps. Ladders will do the trick but they are heavy and difficult to get out when they are needed. Most step stools are light, but they are usually too short to make much difference. The Costco 3-step stool is perfect for my needs. It weighs about ten points so it is easy to lift and move around. And it really is a 3-step stool. You can safely stand on the top step. Of course you still need to be careful. It won't prevent a fall if you are determined to take such a trip, but it is sturdy enough not to move a great deal when you stand on it, so it won't be the cause of a fall. Keep a hand on the top rail or at least a leg, and you should be okay. Storage is easy too. Folding is easier that most others I have used. Lift a handle at the back of the top step, and the steps fold up flat to be easily stored in a closet or under a bed, couch, etc. I am very happy with this purchase, so I gladly recommend it. ... show more

This is my third step stool, including another Cosco model, but it will likely be my last. My older brother brought his along when I asked him for a steady hand to help me with a few overhead projects. I was so impressed with this sturdy and well built product that I knew I had to get one of my own. I have had both knees replaced and retaining my balance when working 'hands free' is a must. Now I can feel safe working on my own while changing overhead light bulbs, hanging curtains, rearranging storage items and more. My brother bought his years ago and it still looks like new. Size: 2-Step Stool
Super lightweight and easy to stow. I like in really tiny apartment and I was worried I wouldn't have space to store this but it packs up so well that I managed to squeeze it in the tiniest of cracks between the washing machine and the closet wall. The two steps make it possible to reach just about everything on the top shelves of the cupboards and it's nice and sturdy which is surprising for such a lightweight ladder. The feet are nice and grippy and the balance it perfectly even so I haven't had any of those pseudo-near death falls which is much appreciated. Highly recommend! This stool is perfect. I got this to have as my own instead of having to use the one my dad uses for handy man work which was way too heavy/clunky for me to carry back and forth. He also needs it a lot so it's very nice to have one of my own that's designed more for this kind of intended use. I'm 5'2" and this stool allows me to touch the ceiling while standing on the top step, no wobbling, very sturdy. It's lightweight and super easy to fold in and out as well as small enough to store anywhere if you need it out of the way. Reaching for anything in a home will be no problem from now on. Great step ladder! Very light-weight, but really sturdy. Folds out easily and folds up easily. The lock-in-place mechanism when it is folded out is a tab on the top step. I don't know how this will hold up over the years with multiple uses. I won't use this very frequently, so for me it should be just fine. If you are going to use this ladder every day and fold it up often, you may want to consider this factor. The mechanism could be very durable - I just am not sure. For my purposes (infrequent household use such as changing lightbulbs), it seems like it will be perfect. ... show more
