  • Perfect for External NVME Enclosures for PC, MAC, iPad Pro (DO NOT FORMAT on Windows) READ!!!
Edit: I have to warn everyone first: !!!!!DO NOT FORMAT THE NVME WITH A PC, DO NOT FORMAT WITH A PC!!!! I just found out that Windows PC formatting creates an error on external NVME flash memories but you will not see the issue while using them on PC. However as soon as you connect it to MacOS or iPadOS or to your SteamDeck or anything not using Windows... you MIGHT not see the drive show up or if it does, there will be an error. To avoid this, try reformatting to exFat using a MAC/Macbook. (Do not us Windows for this) --------------------------------------------- I had to connect my NVME to my iPad Pro to transfer some files and couldn't get it to work and then I found out (read Online) about the Flash memory issues while reformatting using Windows tools. luckily my sister had a Macbook Air laying around. I used Disk Utility and performed a First Aid check up and there was indeed an error. After that I reformat it again to exFat using Disk Utility and now everything is Great Again.... The iPadOS reads it properly. ... show more

  • m.2 NVMe... Yeah, it's good.
For an m.2 NVMe at 8TB it's good. Currently installed in a laptop that can address it (many cant). If you /know/ your laptop can handle it then it's worth the price premium for this drive over others at the same capacity. If you're looking for a high capacity m.2 to use in an enclosure, get the cheapest thing you can find. If your laptop supports it and you know you need high IOPS because you're doing virtualization, this is a good bet. If you're loading games; get something cheaper. Game loading times aren't significantly better on NVMe vs pure SATA SSD but things that need the random I/O IOPS will benefit from this over cheaper competitors. Thermals are high but manageable in thin and light laptops (using mine in a Framework 13"). Do note this is not as performant as other drives with lower TB so if you want more performance for your drive (you run multiple VMs on the drive) and don't need the space, consider the 4TB option from this vendor. But, yeah, thins thing is good times. ... show more

  • Awesome drive. One big issue, one very small one.
Style: MP600 Capacity: 1000GB
I got this drive and replaced my Samsung SATA 860EVO. For the most part, with this type of change you won't notice much of a difference. Windows doesn't load any faster but once I log in those application do load much faster. Most of Windows is still single-threaded. :( I wanted to see how it did for writes so I created a RAM disk, copied a 3.9GB file to RAM from my HDD, and then wrote it to my MP600. 3.9GB took between 2 and 3 seconds to write!!! Now that's Fast! The big issue I have is that the Corsair Tools, that's what they call it even though I think that the only tool is to clone the drive failed. It would get 3% into the cloning and fail. Nothing to help diagnose the problem. You have to than delete all partitions off of the MP600 in order to try the clone again. I found I had to use DiskPart from DOS command prompt as for unknown reasons disk manager wouldn't work with what was left on the drive. The small issue is that when you insert this into your MOBO, they have created yet another size screw! And you won't have any of these on hand. Removing my ASROCK X570 cover I found out that I needed a screw for the MP600. I ended up stealing one from the MOBO second M2 slot. It runs at about 35-40C. I really haven't taxed it much. Removing the heat sink was a breeze. Looking at the conducting material inside made me wonder if it was conducting material of packing material. I knew it wasn't packing material but you'll see what I mean. I'm very happy with this unit. Updated: 1 year later. The drive is still working great. It feels as if it has slowed down a bit. Not understanding why but I haven't done any tests on it to verify that it has. Frustrating is that the drive does NOT show wear level in the SMART data. Weird. ... show more

  • Absolutely Goofy Results with RAID 0
NOTE: Attached photo is with RAID 0 and FOUR of these. Do not expect this with a single NVME. I just recently upgraded to a Z690 board with a 12th Gen CPU and one of the perks of that was having 4 PCIe 4.0 slots for M.2. So what better way to use them by going with 4x500GB MP600 in RAID 0. The result is 1.8TB drive for my OS and games, and the highest CrystalDiskMark results I've had personally. Would it be better to go with a 2TB M.2 instead? Eh maybe. Was this fun to do? Yes definitely. As for the MP600 itself, great little NVME drive and was reasonably priced at the time of purchase. I would definitely recommend it. I've also used the Samsung and Sabrent drives, they all seem to be pretty good so my recommendation is to go with whatever is on sale. ... show more

  • Works great at 5400MB/s in PS5
Style: MP600 CORE Capacity: 2000GB
Working great in my PS5! The 2TB model gave results a little over 5400MB/s in the automatic PS5 test at installation. It is slightly below recommended minimum speed of 5500MB/s, but I do not believe this tiny difference will ever be noticeable. I did need to create a cover for the slot as the metal cover would not fit due to the size of the heatsink. I used carefully cut wide thick tape. I carved the edges of the tape with a sharp knife for a perfect fit; making sure to keep all airflow slots clear. This allows airflow to work identically to the metal plate. I have found this SSD to be considerably faster and more reliable than the several external USB 3.1 SSD drives I tried to use on my PS5 prior to this. I can now safely leave my PS5 in sleep mode and it will do automatic updates and downloads without errors or “rebuilds”. EDIT: December 28th, 2021: Still working great after more than 3 months of heavy use in my PS5. ... show more

  • Es la mejor opción?
Style: MP600 CORE Capacity: 1000GB
